LOL, that's the only time I won't go near their store.

I HATE black Friday. Years ago I got up at 3am and stood in the dark freezing my rear off at a Toys R Us to buy my son a PS2 bundle they had a good deal on for a present . I got the second to last one after waiting for hours. I couldn't get out of that store fast enough as I figured there were going to be some very angry people in line behind me that didn't get one. That was the last time I did any black Friday sales. I will only do them online now.

I bought almost all my appliances at Best Buy. I also have 2 or 3 TV's from there. When Circuit City was in business they pulled a bait and switch on a 52" Hitachi TV I wanted. I was there 10 minutes after they opened and when I asked about it they said they were sold out and there was no rainchecks. I was like who bought it? We're pretty much just me and a bunch of employees here. I took the ad and went to BB where they not only matched it but beat it by 10%. TV was originally $1500, CC had it for $795. Got it from BB for $720. 2 weeks later Sears, which was across the street from the BB, put the same TV out for $649. Went to the Sears store and the very nice guy working the electronics dept printed the ad for me on his computer, and BB refunded me the $70 plus 10%. Final price was $643. I still have that TV in my living room today. Love Black Friday too.

I mean...have you ever met anyone who has bought a fridge at Best Buy???

          Right here. Good fridge, too.

Not true! Soon enough you’ll also have tons and tons of pop-up “yard sales” and “stoop sales” that are basically out of work people or underemployed folks who sell stuff to supplement their income. Heck, I bet you some ex-bookstore employees will start selling out of their own “shop” on a blanket or card table.

              Welcome to the future!

Ehe, they should. I never go there anymore for anything. I'm not big on modern electronics/technology and there DVD selection used to great when they first started popping up and now it sucks.

^^^ I agree. I think that is the trend. With the exception of the occasional new release, I buy all of my blu-rays online. Ten fold cheaper!

I've noticed since Circuit City (and before them CompUSA) went under regional chains have been gaining steam and growing. In my area PC Richard & Son (NJ, NY, CT & PA) has grown a bit taking over several former Circuit City locations in that area. As far as BB, I haven't had any issues. The one nearest to me does reasonably well since Target & Walmart have yet to gain a strong foothold in my area.
