Exactly...like I said...it's all a scam...they are basically trying to steal from customers.

i went to look for a Tv a couple of weeks ago and stopped in at radioshack, they had 3 TV's both 1 tiny 1 huge, the tiny one was all the way 6 feet above eye level and when i walked up the ladder to look at it, it was all green
the huge one had something like 800p or something and was awful

I only buy cables, batteries, headphones, and little things like that at Radio Shack...would never buy a big item such as a flat screen there...lol.

it is also a little ironic that Best Buy bought the old Circuit City space when it went out of business

I hate BB. I signed up for their card system because I know that retail employees have that rolled into their job description and the counter clerks have a quota they have to maintain, so essentially if someone gives me exceptionally helpful or friendly service I ask them if there's a quota I can help them hit. They'd always been higher priced on pretty much anything, but I think they were having some loss leader Wii thing at release and I picked up a system.

About a year later, Best Buy sent me that infamous email that was supposed to be intended for whatever customer they deemed a few tax brackets higher than joe on the street... It was written from a place of embarrassing entitlement and exclusivity. I don't remember what the offer was, but it was something like get a free year of so and so if you make a home theater purchase of $5k or more. Within an hour they sent out the apology email because, of course, they'd sent this to everyone and not just the 2,000 or so they meant to.
Basically they said "Oh, uh... when we said we highly value your business over those other drooling idiots, we didn't mean you, the base 95% of our customers. Pretend you didn't see that. You're the drooling idiots. You won't get any extra useless deal if you spend $5k, but feel free to do that anyway. K?" Cool story bro.

Honestly though the way they're running things I'd be really surprised if Netflix didn't self-destruct completely before Best Buy had a chance to.

Although...I have a little shocker of a scenario that happened this past Sunday at Best Buy...lol.

I went with my sis and mom...my sis was shopping for a monochrome lazer printer/scanner for her document work...and we asked a Best Buy clerk which was a good one...and he said..."there's a really good model I recommend...but we don't carry it...however...Office Depot has it right now...you might want to check it out...just don't tell anybody here I said that..."

                    We were like...

We thought that was very cool...and yes...went to Office Depot...and sure enough...they had that specific model...and cheaper than the ones at Best Buy.

That Best Buy dude deserves a tip...

                      best buy's customer support policy:
                      jhfgkguaerhfkglsijehhgfgkhfvkhjgfjhgfrgliushgl
It means something to the effect of "The guy writing this had noting to write so he fell asleep on the keyboard"

I think these responses pretty much say it all. BestBuy has gotten so bad with their service that almost everyone has a story to tell. For myself, I quit going to BestBuy for the Black Friday sales after I was in the front of a line one morning and when they open the doors, they had everything rearranged with no direction where to go. I ended up not getting what I had waited for because of that. I got so mad, I threw the stuff I had on the floor and walked out.

I was only in a Best Buy once.

I didn't buy anything because anything they had that I might want I can get at Walmart cheaper.

i remember buying so much stiff for 2 bucks when circuit city left, they only had 2 isles with stuff, half of it was broken because wild shoppers pushed Tvs off the shelf and everything else was the dark knight hankook and horton hears a who on dvd and some cables

Add to the fact that every time you walk in there you are attacked by employees who shadow you throughout the store, and the experience is just bad. If it's not a Best Buy employee it's an HP or Epson or somethingoranother employee bugging you to death.

I don't want to see anyone lose their job, but it's not surprising that business model is failing.

At the Best Buy here I never get good customer service and it takes forever to get customer assistance. When I do its usually some clueless kid who is probably working for minimum wage.
