Since this splitting of service doesn't include any price adjustments, I'll stick with it. When the new pricing plans were announced over the summer, we adjusted our plan from 3 DVDs + streaming to just 2 DVDs, which was overdue for us anyway.
Streaming only is still not an option since the offerings are still extremely slim. At least when it comes to new, mainstream films.Comment

Streaming only and love it. It's nice to be able to pop a movie or TV show onto the computer here when I am working late at night. It helps keep me company as it gets lonely here sometimes."Never take a person's dignity: it is worth everything to them, and nothing to you." - Frank BarronComment

LOL.
I just nixed DVD and added HULUPlus. Since a my kids like the selection on HULU as well.
As Hec stated, Redbox is an option and is around our neighborhood since Blockbuster closed shop. There is only one place to rent movies in our hood and it's on top of the hill, right Mike?Comment

I won't be doing business with Blockbuster either...I don't care if they have booths now...they caused me lots of headaches through the years (and lots of money from late fees)...and I have not forgotten about it.
Streaming through Netflix...and DVDs through Redbox.

I did away with the ny mail option with the price increase. My streaming queue has 170 titles on it so I gots plenty to watch. You must try to generate happiness within yourself. If you aren't happy in one place, chances are you won't be happy anyplace. -Ernie BanksComment

I have no interest in Redbox and hanging out with the local trash getting the latest Adam Sandler dvd.You must try to generate happiness within yourself. If you aren't happy in one place, chances are you won't be happy anyplace. -Ernie BanksComment

I stopped DVDs about a year ago and have been happy with $8/month streaming. I watch on my phone, tablet, computer, TV. . . .freedom!
for $16/month to get streaming plus 1 DVD at-a-time just doesn't seem worth it, since my watching is so sporadic and broken up.
I wonder how many memberships they lost todayComment

I went to the 2 movie at a time also. Prob stay there. I do agree that streaming is the future, but there better be more than the Flintstones on there.Comment
