    Hate Ebayyyy

I've heard the comments from several of you about negative Ebay experiences, but never had a bad experience before. Not anymore.

I was searching for a Big Bang Theory shirt for my daughters birthday. Found one that would work, paid for it and waited. Had an estimated delivery date so I wasn't too worried until that day came and went. So I looked online and saw that it was listed as delivered. No address listed on the delivery confirmation, just a zipcode. Contacted the seller. they had the typical comments on their listings(please contact, we'll work with you to avoid negative feedback, etc). Got a very short message back to the effect of "Don't know what you want me to do, I have a delivery confirmation." I tried three more times for some understanding or help in figuring out what happened, but nothing. Told me to open a case (which was found in his favor of course). Now I see a few missing or items not shipped comments in his feedback (which he answered with "LIAR"). Meanwhile my daughter is without a shirt and I'm out nearly $20. I know it's not much, but never had someone show NO empathy. He didn't even bring up the possibility that someone stole it from my mail. He just implied that I was lying. Not a professional.

    There venting through.

I feel you, but in all fairness once it leaves his hands it's not his fault if it gets stolen

Was it delivered to your house or to another place, like the UPS Store? I have a box at the UPS Store, and more than once something was delivered and sitting there, when there was no notice in my box. I had to tell them to look around again back in the back, since there was delivery confirmation. BAM! There it was, after all.

Also, it seems that often delivery confirmation is meaningless. Check this out.

Does he have proof of delivery? What's the address on it? Maybe it was delivered to one of your neighbours.
But judging by the latest comments on his feedback I'm guessing he couldn't be bothered to actually mail it out

My frustration came from his lack of customer service or empathy. Like I said, I tried to find out more from him (what address he shipped it to, what day it went out, etc.) but all he would do was mention the confirmation and tell me it was my problem. And after reading some of the stuff from the link on the post office, I guess it could still show up.

If it is delivery confirmation from USPS, you might want to print it out and take it to your local post office. It's possible that it is sitting right there at the post office. This is one of those situations where I'm guessing this particular seller has a high volume of business? I have had this happen to me as a seller. The buyer told me that they never received the item but my delivery receipt showed it being delivered. I told the buyer the same thing I told you, but honestly from my point of view, I did everything I was supposed to do. I did mail the item and USPS confirmed delivery so for all I knew, the buyer was lying. It is one of those no win situations but unfortunately, it isn't worth opening an Ebay case. The seller will win on this one.
