Floppy Disks. Video games on cartridges.

Even CD/DVD-ROM drives are a thing of the past... in fact most removable media given how files are so easily transferred via "The Cloud" or Bluetooth to mobile devices with increasing large memory.

Thumb drives are common enough, but for how long?

Smoking in planes, buses, trains, public buildings, restaurants, bars.

My son is starting to work for the first time. I asked him the other day if he wanted to open a checking account. He said, "Sure, but not for the checks. All I need is the debit card."

He will probably never have to write a check with debit cards, direct deposits, paying bills online, etc.

I'm getting to where I only write a few a month now myself. This is the only time I use my cursive skills

Calling this coming up season "fall" is fading out

Seems most kids are taught to call it "autumn" now-a-days

              Fancy schmancy we're getting

My highschool put on a reunion this past spring and one of the highlights were "decade rooms" furnished with pop culture items from our era. The wings were put together by the current students.

Call me crazy but I didn't know Jaws and 8 tracks came out in the 50s or that Uma Thurman was a big star in the 80s. I felt like Phillip J Frye.

Real arcades. By the time kids of that generation were at video game age the original Playstation had already taken a foothold so the idea of having find an arcade to play the best games was already on the way out.

My 19 year old daughter ask me the other day what I did back in the day if I happen to miss an episode of a favorite TV show. I told her I had to wait 'til it was shown in Summer rerun to see it. She just laughed.
