Channel 11 WPIX did a hack job on Bats during the early 90's. It's so they could fit all the commercials in. The episode that comes to mind is one of the Batgirl episodes...the end of the episode she is talking to commissioner Gordon and Tut is in the Library...the whole Tut sequence was completely edited out. It's the one bad thing about taping them off of Cable these days...you're not going to get the full episode.
I know what you mean. That's why I like Netflix.

Almost all the cable stations also load up the graphic overlays for other shows on any program they show. It bugs me.

      Hmmmm....

I dunno. We got a few retro channels here, but they show all the old stuff I've already seen; and if I care at all, already have on disk. I'd love to see stuff I've never heard of. And there's a LOT of old tv I've never heard of.

Can't help but be curious, where at in the Dark Shadows storyline are you?

out of my own curiosity, how many episodes of Dark Shadows are there? I always thought the one from the early nineties shouldnt have been cancelled. Ive even heard that some hard core fans wished that it had started where the original left off..... Theres still that movie version that Tim Burton wants to make someday, but i havent heard anything new on it for a few years.....

I began the color episodes first where Maggie just got away from Baranbas. They only had up to the first few shows of Victoria going back in time. Now I am watching the shows where Wille first discovers Barnabas.

Again, for some reason, I cannot "quote" tonight...

                Figuremod73:

There are just over 1200 1/2 Hour episodes of the original Dark Shadows series. The Johnny Depp/Tim Burton Dark Shadows film is currently being filmed in England and is scheduled to hit theaters in May 2012.

Thank you! I was wondering how many were available through Netflix. Sounds like they have the first 4 boxsets available for streaming? If you want to see the rest of the 1795 storyline (which is one of my personal faves) you'll need to have access to boxsets 5-7. Interesting that you started watching post escape and then went back to watch from the beginning of the storyline. I remember when they first attempted to run them in syndication here in So. Cal. in 1975, they only broadcast up to the point where Dr. Woodard had to be dealt with. The next broadcast opportunity was in 1986...nothing like a 10 year hiatus to build up anticipation!

160 episodes are available so far. They have added to it in the recent past and I am sure they will add to it again.
