The adds say METV is only on for a limited time unless your cable company picks it up.

Well, RTV is OK, but they've dropped a lot of good shows (from Universal), so I don't watch it as often. I do like MeTV, but we only get it during certain hours, like RTV, b/c the local affiliate has it the rest of the time. I do like watching GMC b/c they feature The Waltons, Judging Amy and good family made for TV movies. I still watch The Hub and sometimes our local station KOFY has some good retro shows on.

I don't get any of the new retro channels. I recently finally got Boomerang though. But they no longer show Superfriends or any of the DC cartoons. Instead they are showing stuff like Two Stupid Dogs, Cow and Chicken and Johnny Bravo. Bummer.

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

i remember back in the mid to late eighties my favorite channel was TBS out of Atlanta. It was almost the perfect channel. After school it had superfriends and other old cartoons. Tons of old television shows like The Addams Family and even friday night videos (great if you didnt have MTV). Why is it so much to ask not to have channels like this anymore?

Netflix streaming has become my TV Land and where I get (usually) daily doses of

                  Hawaii Five 0
                  Rockford Files
                  Dark Shadows
and Mission: Impossible until I finished them up (I had 5 seasons of H50 and M:I on DVD so I began watching both on Netflix for season 6 on)

and other ones more sporadically like

                  Star Trek
                  Spiderman 67
                  Munsters
                  Addams Family
                  Dick Van Dyke show
                  Kolchack The Night Stalker
                  Twilight Zone
                  Thriller
                  etc

when I run out of Hawaii Five O's, Dark Shadows and Rockfords I will tackle

                  Buck Rogers
                  Incredible Hulk
                  and maybe others

I just discovered this station today at my parents. They love it. They showed me all the classic show content and Gunsmoke was on. I don't watch a lot of TV as I wait to watch either movies or TV shows collected as seasons on dvd. Perhaps when my tax refund comes around in Jan/Feb I'll finally afford new TV flat panels and get rid of my clunky, yet reliable 32" TVs.

The only problem is that they are editing the shows. Each episode of Batman is about 25 or 26 minutes each...unless the station is running the episodes beyond the 30 minute time frame, you're going to get them edited. Channel 11 WPIX did a hack job on Bats during the early 90's. It's so they could fit all the commercials in. The episode that comes to mind is one of the Batgirl episodes...the end of the episode she is talking to commissioner Gordon and Tut is in the Library...the whole Tut sequence was completely edited out. It's the one bad thing about taping them off of Cable these days...you're not going to get the full episode.

I just found out that METV is supposed to be coming to a sub channel of one of my local channels. But if the cable system does not pick it up, it won't be easy for me to access.
