I agree bro it was fun

and it really has nothing to do with what it costs to me, of course I would'nt open anything valuable or rare...but it's more the fact that it lasted 40 years sealed up for me to come and open it...I know it might sound weird or crazy..but you feel kind of bad you know

I know how you feel -- I have bought several figures mint on damaged cards just to open them but cannot bring myself to open them. I end up selling them, since I can't take the pressure.

But -- I have had no problems opening AJ or even Dinah-Mite outfits -- since the figures are so fun to dress up.

FWIW, when I was about 8 or 9 years old in Brooklyn, NY in the mid-1970s the local toystore one day had tons of bins filled to the brim with Action Jackson gear just like this. I think I paid $1.50 for the flight gear setup since I wanted that helmet. But few other kids bit and that stuff disappeared. Heck, for all we know this stuff being sold now are just returns from back then. So as a kid who might have literally saw this stuff up for sale my advice is to just open them up! Maybe carefully to preserve the packaging, but even if they went up in value, it’s still a bargain and it’s not like 10 years from now you’ll say “Damn, I wish I didn’t open that $3.33 item I got that is worth $20 now.”

            what would you guys do?
I would open YOUR outfits in a second, just a "no brainer".

I'm glad you opened them, Damien. I love opening vintage toys, 'cos it kinda feels like Christmas morning or your birthday. And I know I've said this before, but I don't buy toys as an investment, or for profit. I buy them for the purpose in which they were created, TO PLAY WITH! And your AJs look much happier now that they have clothes on. and when Tris gets bigger, may you'll even bring yourself to let him in on the fun and play w/ them too.

Yeah, opening is fun! but was going to warn you that the AJ outfits sometimes dont fit so well.. Very tight.sometimes they rip....I would not open a picture box, but indeed would take a chance with the generic boxes...

                        Yes!!
                        He opened them up!
They look great, out in the open.

As a matter of fact, now that I've seen the pictures, I want to buy some AJs and outfits...

I just had that issue with a MOC Human Torch (french card).., both knees broken.

I had to let him out, just to fix the knees, then put him in either a repo Bradgate card or repo box..
                          Peace.. Through Superior Firepower.

Since the cards are so mint I'd leave them carded. You can find those outfits on crappy cards pretty easily to open them.
