    Found, Bid, Got the House!

Just had to share... the wife found the house that she loved... made a bid and a big ole pile of debt later we're 45 days away from our first owned home! I'm happy, stressed, nervous and sleepy all at the same time. The best part is that now I can finally, FINALLY build my own REAL Jim's Toy Box instead of stashing my goodies in a box at the station.

In the end though, please forgive me if I disappear for the next 48 hours and don't respond to PM's and such.

Don't worry though... if we've got a deal working your stuff will arrive iin a timely manner. I won't let you down Mego Amigos!

Jim, That is awesome news! I am excited for you and your wife. Even though I know it will be a little while still I can't wait to see the new pictures of Jim's Toybox aka Jim's new toy room.

Congratulations! I remember when I first bought my house I thought I was going to be mortgage poor for the rest of my life. It was a little stressful. But within 5 years the price of a rental house had caught up to what I was paying for my mortgage, and now I'm paying way less than I would if I were renting.

So... Where is your "Toybox Room" going to be?

Here are some crappy ones of the house by one of the Real Estate agents. 4023 Baughman Cutoff Rd, Harrison, AR 72601 MLS# 125204 - Zillow

Thanks for the kind words folks. Its been a long road getting to this point with lots of sacrifices along the way but is indeed worth it.

As far as the Toy Room's location, thankfully my lovely wife Alicia is just as big a dork as I so we will have some interesting pieces throughout the house. Those pics will be coming in the next 30 to 60 days

Congratulations!!! I remember stressing when we bought our first house....I was so nervous I signed my name as the seller...LOL thinking about it.

Sometimes it will feel like a money pit but at the end of the day; owning your own home is one of the best and most liberating feelings in the world. Looks like you have a nice parcel of land and the inside looks immaculate (sellers look like they took really good care of things or replaced a lot of things...the appliances look brand new!).

jim that is awesome news. congratulations to you and your fvamily. i remember the nervous feeling well. prepare to be broke for a while. I think it was a good 6-7 months before we had any discretionary fundage at all after we bought our house. well worth the investment though.
