Rumor has it my grandfather served in the Austro-Hungarian Army (which was compulsory at the time) and came to the United States before the start of WW1.

The guy certainly knew when to pick up and leave

My Grandpa was in WWII.I dont know the whole story because he only talked about it one time when i was kid and we were over there for Christmas. He had a Japanese flag with a bunch of names on it and a samurai sword. He also had a small box that had some medals in it,i have no clue what ones, but remember some of what was on a paper he had that explained what he did.He had something to do with communications and the paper said he repaired broken communication lines while under enemy fire. Its a shame i dont no more,i really wish i did.

My father was a career USMC man. Retired as a Master Sergeant. Everyone called him "TOP". This is a pic of him and his mother sometime right after boot camp.

Last year, I was workin' on the STRYKER Brigade moving out of Iraq in 120 deg heat.

This year I'm in the backyard with a Corona, after giving the the dogs a bath.

          Yes, life is good.
          Peace.. Through Superior Firepower.
