Now they're saying the heart attack may not have happened. I guess they won't know anything for sure until after the autopsy.

He was never one of my favorites, but I'm sorry to see him go. I feel for his family.

Next to Hogan, Savage was the biggest star of the 80's. One of my all time favorites for sure. I'm shocked and saddened by this news.

Sad news. I only have went to two wrestling matches ever and I got to watch him defend the title against Andre the Giant. He was one of the best ever. My heart goes out to his wife and family. RIP Macho Man. You will be missed.

Wow just can't believe it myself! Growing up the man was part of me. A great loss in the wrestling world and I garantee to you he will be in the Hall of Fame next year!

That's too bad. I don't like wrestling, but I know who he was. I know a lot of old school wrestling fans will miss him.

Randy was THE star of the 1990's. Hogan was the breakout star of the 80's. Randy and his wife were driving and something went wrong, either a heart attack or a stroke. Randy drove through oncoming traffic and avoided a few near collisions before hitting a tree. His wife escaped the crash with a few injuries, but will be fine. I got the text late this morning, and his brother (best known as leaping lanny poffo) confirmed that he died. At this time I do not want to arouse speculation, and will await autopsy news before reporting anything as fact. He was a very gracious man to his fans, a riot to all who knew him behind closed doors, and an absolute gem to children.

Randy WAS supposed to be inducted to this year's Hall of fame, but WWE chose to save him for next year's inductions, to make him the centerpiece of the ceremony. There was a very strained relationship between he and Vince Mc Mahon over personal family affairs. This was all put to bed early last year, so they could again share a mutually lucritive relationship. Too bad the WWE chose to center it around HBK this year, and that will affect the locker room for sure, as many of the guys (Including "HHH" and "HBK") not only were inspired by him, but knew him personally.

It kills me to see many of these guys develop heart problems later on, many guys develop this in large part to former abuse of sterroids. Others become addicted to pain meds, and depression. Scott "Razor Ramon" Hall is in poor health lately as well, and I hope this does not put him over the edge : (

Let us lift our Slim Jims, don our do-rags, and call one another brother, as was his wont. RIP Macho Man.

Was actually at the King of the Ring he won in 87. Back then we got all the good events because the WWF was out of CT, and a lot of it was still regional. Definitely one of the originators of the wrestling popularity phase. Sad day for wrestling fans. Rumor had it he recently started to talk to Hulk Hogan putting aside years of difficulty between them. I haven't followed wrestling for many years but he was one of my faves when I did.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

Yep, he was making square with Hulk. Hulk has squared many bad relationships from his past, and remember him saying Randy was always difficult to square things with once you were at odds with him. Curious what Hogan has to say about it.
