Sharry you would know this ....

    What nationality is he ?

I remember back in the day some saying he was Australian but he always seemed to have a perfect American accent.

Is he really really Australian ?

      Yes, Mikey, he's really Australian.

Back in the 70s when he first came to America to cut records, he had a hybrid Aussie/Brittish accent. His mom is Brittish and he spend part of his childhood in England 'cos his dad was in the Army. When his records weren't selling that well, he decided to take up acting to pay the rent. He decided to lose the accent to get more jobs I guess. But it's funny...the longer Rick talks, the more some of the accent comes slinking back in. And a few years back when he spent some time visiting his mother, he got his accent back for awhile.

BTW...if you've seen any episodes of his cartoon "Mission:Magic", that is HIS voice and there's definitely an accent.

      With the accent:

Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

He played the murder victim on Hawaii Five 0 last night.

I think he'll be fine if he doesn't make a habit of this.

He was only .02 over the legal limit and I bet he didn't believe he was drunk and unable to drive but he will learn that amount of impairment does affect your driving skills by the courses I am sure he'll be ordered to attend as part of his punishment. Good for him he didn't discover it by ending up in a grave or hospital or sending someone else there.

Rick Springfield was Captain Apollo's younger brother Zac on the original Battlestar Galactica. Ahhhh, it's too bad he didn't stay for the full mini-series back then. Tho I have never seen it I hear he was the first actor to play the lead on the cop/vampire show Forever Knight.

All true, but the pilot movie was just called Nick Knight.

He was also a contract player for Universal back in the late 70s so he's also played bit parts in The Six Million Dollar Man, Wonder Woman (twice), Battlstar Galatica, The Incredible Hulk (was supposed to be a spinoff that didn't make it), and The Rockford Files.

                It's on Hulu too:

Hulu - The Incredible Hulk: The Disciple - Watch the full episode now.

BTW...Rick is actually trained in martial arts, so that was real.

This is why I thought Rick Springfield was cool in the 80's.... Sammy Hagar's song
