    Royal Wedding

anyone else watch it? Being east coast USA, my wife had me up at 5 a.m. to help get the recorder running because she wanted to have it on tape.
    It's all good!

My wife taped it, but she set up the DVR the night before. No WAY I was getting up early to tape it for her. And then, on the way to work at 7:30, there was a woman, all dressed up in a wedding gown, standing at a street corner and waving to everyone. I guess she got all dressed up in the gown to watch the wedding and decided to get some additional use out of. Either that, or she was hoping someone would pick her up and marry her.

Celeb marriages never interest me because I know 99.9% of them is just business arrangements that rarely last over 5 years.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who just doesn't care. I still don't get why the USA makes such a big deal about England's royal family. I doubt England gets all worked up about any first family we have in the White House. Anyway, I'm glad it's over so I don't have to hear about it.

I wish them well but honestly I don't have an interest. The royals have no real power and outside of their "kingdom" I don't understand why we still care so much worldwide. Plus Queen Elizabeth will most likely out live both Charles, William, Harry and Williams 3rd born for that matter.

I think she may be a zombie.

I think because whether most Americans will admit it or not many Americans still consider the UK, specifically England as our mother country.

It's why most Americans don't call the queen Queen Elizabeth ... They just say "the queen"

It's just the way it is and always will be ...

I could never understand why countries (such as Belgium) keep paying an elite group tons of money to do nothing. These people get a lifetime all-expenses-paid vacation. And at the end of every year, the millions we taxpayers paid them is still not enough, they always come up short. I mean, everybody needs 17 toilets in their homes, right?

I'm guessing it's because i'm Amercan but I could never understand that either.
