So does that mean that he has been banned from the museum , Because he owes me $35.00 for some DVD's that I paid him for months ago also . Everytime I asked him where they were he would tell me that he was waiting for packages since December himself and I should just wait . Finally he agreed to give me a refund and I haven't heard from him since then .....I hope he chokes on something he may have spent my $35.00 on , But thats just me .. RoyComment

Darthtyranus is an odd one to deal with ... isn't he the one who has like 3 people using the one ID?
he sent me a western union payment then asked if I could cancel it and he'd pay via normal paypal payemnt ... just was too odd, so I didn't cancel the payment. didnt see it in time anyway. I held off shipping his stuff after the odd payment issue. but everything worked out ... not smooth but I didn't get ripped off.
I must say I doubt I would buy anything off him just from the issues others have had, and the odd payment thing... just not worth the stress or worry.
just sucks to have someone rip another off. Life is too short to be such a jerk and it hurts more when the place here is pretty safe for the most part.Last edited by RG; Apr 26, '11, 3:10 PM.Comment

I didn't know that.
To be honest the only reason I even said anything was because I got my first negative on ebay from a customer who lived in Australia. This was years ago though and I didn't know things had changed. He wanted the cheapest shipping method - which at that time was by boat - and had no tracking or insurance. We exchanged a couple of emails where I reassured him I sent it (what else could I do?) and after a month he suddenly decided to leave negative feedback on my account. Literally the next day he got the package and emailed me apologizing.
Everything I've sent to Australia afterwards was insured and paid for faster delivery - so I didn't know everything was air delivered now.
Anyway - I have never bought from those two guys, but every other transaction I've done on here has been a dream. So that stinks - but I'd say don't let it ruin the Museum for you!Comment

I have been reading and seeing rip off threads here and there and it really just burns my ace to know that some people will stoop to such a low level and set out to rip others off intentionally.
I have been thinking that ANY deal should be sealed up and shipped out within 15 days time and that is probably being too liberal as I often am.
I do realize that bad things can also happen to good people some times. However, That is what communication is all about. If you are not receiving any communication from the person in question or if they keep stalling and making excuses then that is a big red flag to me to say see ya! At that point I would start a claim to get a refund if paying via PayPal. If they do happen to send the package then when the heat is on just simply cancel the claim.
Same thing with credit card transactions when dealing with on line stores. If the store cannot produce the goods in a timely fashion then it is time to do a charge back and forget about the order. I do not care how reliable the on line store is supposed to be. Actions always speak louder than words.
I am just adding my two cents to try and help others from getting burned in the future.Enjoy what you like, and let others enjoy what they like. (C) Azrak 2009

Hey Mark. As a rule, never make a transaction that can't be finalized within 6 weeks. That is the time frame you have to file a claim with Paypal to get your money back. I've had to do that before and Paypal reimbursed me immediately. Always protect you wallet.Comment

And they're having a kid.
They're expecting delivery in nine months. Possibly a lot later. Or not.
Seriously. Sorry you got ripped off, man.
I've had the same experience here on the marketplace, so I know how you feel. All I can tell you, the bad experiences are really the exceptions. Most people here are great to deal with....

There are plenty of weirdos who are like, 'I won't ship to Canada - a guy in Canada caused me trouble once so I won't deal with Canadians again!' Never makes sense to me.Comment

I am particularly sensitive to Canadians who aren't being honest as a result. I find stuff I send to the US takes about twice as long as it would state to state, that's not months, it's an extra week or so in general. Either this seller is the world's unluckiest shipper or there is something else going on, way too many issues with the same postal system I use.Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions
