Tornados in Alabama

We had a really bad thunderstorm roll through Alabama yesterday and last night. So far we've had 92 (yes: ninety-two) tonados reported and 19 people were killed. These pictures are of the Baptist Church were 2 of my cousins where married and a lot of my close family attends. Three people from the same family were killed by the twister who lived close to the church. I know "Tornado Alley" gets a lot of press but make no mistake - Alabama (and the south) is right up there with them.

By watching the news today its unreal the amount of damage that was caused in the last 3 days is unreal.Its so early in the season and this many storms is scary.They had footage of a twister with muliple funnel clouds touching ground , looked like something out of a scifi movie.Freakin scary.

Wow... we just had a tornado warning in PA. I'm not sure if the weather people are calling it an official tornado yet, but a 40-foot skylight was torn off the local mall. Luckily, no one was hurt.

saw this on the news. unreal. My heart goes out to those poor people who lost their lives and their grieving families. weather patterns certainly seem to be changing in the world. It's like we are in a cycle of extremet weather the past few years and it just keeps getting worse

Batten down the hatches. Twisters in Tuscaloosa and Birmingham and headed my way. Hope all our members up that way are ok. There is a live feed on TV and they are showing transformers blowing in B'ham.

Tornados hit Tuscaloosa early today very near my Nephews house.

He and his roommates were under the house in the crawlspace. Lots of damage but everyone is okay.

My cousin goes to the University of Alabama there. She were just south of it. She is fine. Twelve have been killed so far by these storms.
