I'm in west-central Georgia and it's heading our way. This weather system has been spawning huge tornadoes. That Tuscaloosa footage is terrifying.

All the best wishes to all of you over there. We've just ended our run with that evil system My area (Harrison) only recieved major flooding. The only reason I say 'only' is because other parts were much more devistated such as Vilonia, Arkansas. All total 11 people died in Arkansas because of this system. In Harrison we are now dealing with roadslides. Horrible situation alla round.

        Please be safe everyone.

Man... the degree of destruction is off the charts. I feel so sorry for all of those families. To Scott and anyone impacted by this storm, you have my heartfelt sympathy. Absolutely unbelievable.

We just had a tornado touch down a few towns over from me last night. I haven't heard of any deaths, but it wiped out a restaurant and also did some major damage to a local car lot that had a sweet display of old and new Corvettes in the showroom. Doesn't compare to loss of life, but I feel bad for all the losses. We are not in a location that is prone to tornado activity so it came as quite a shock.

Man, hope all you guys are ok. Been watching the footage this morning. Saw a convoy of Tampa Electric and EMS trucks heading north on 27.

Five teachers from my wifes school have children attenting college in Tuscaloosa and Birmingham. One teacher told her she was talking to her daughter on her cell phone while she and her roommates were hinding in a closet with the mattress over them in their first floor apartment. About that time the wind (or a tornado) took the roof completely off the second floor. Scared the hell out of them. Can you imagine talking to your child while that was going on and not being able to do anything to help.
