i'm into soaps either, but trust me One live 2 live was good, really cute girls and they broke all sorts of boundaries when it came to soaps... all sorts of touchy subjects that no other soaps dared to use

they dealt with subjects like-Gays,gangs, teen rape,suicides, drugs you name it

I get more enjoyment reading Hector and T2C playfully bickering back and forth than I do watching a soap opera.

My wife use to watch "Days of our Lives" and she got me to watch for a spell. But the stories became so absurd, it became impossible to watch them without laughing. In one story, they had this back-stabbing old woman locked away in a sarcophagus for months! And the woman never as much as even peed on herself...right! I imagine Days will be next to go.

If Days goes, my mother-in-law will probably fly out to LA and protest in person. My wife used to watch Days when we were dating, and I saw enough to know it's pretty out there.

My mom used to watch the more "grounded" CBS stuff, Young and the Restless, World Turns.

It is kind of sad to see big shows like this go away. They've been around longer than most of us!

I watched Days of Our Lives back in the mid to late eighties for a few years. Then I just old myself to stop before it got out of control.

There's also a TSR role playing game I picked up from one of the members here a while back to give to my wife. Perhaps her and the in-laws can break out the dice and continue the adventures.

My wife has watched both soaps since she was 8 years old (30 yrs ago), so she's pretty upset at this. She doesn't watch every minute of both shows anymore, but she likes to relax to them on the soap network in the evening after a long day.

ABC's getting flooded with calls from angry callers , hopefully they can figure something out, they're saying that the Oprah network might be looking into picking them up...it was posted on one of the actors facebook page...I really hope so,OLTL is by far my favorite show at the moment amazing how hooked you can get on these things..
