I ate at a White Castle going through Indiana once. It was just like Krystals here in the south with the same square burgers. I liked it well enough.
I miss eating at In N Out. Must have eaten there twice a week while I was working out in CA.
Five Guys is pricey. You can spend $9 easy on burger, fries and a drink. So it's not some place a go too often. You must try to generate happiness within yourself. If you aren't happy in one place, chances are you won't be happy anyplace. -Ernie BanksComment

^ Totally agree Joe. I'd much rather have one at Five Guys (or Red Robin or whatever other burger place) than McD's or Burger King.
I even thought Whataburger was pretty good but they all closed here.sigpic WANTED: Boxed, Carded and Kresge Carded WGSHComment

I tried a Red Robin that is near us and wasn't impressed at all. May have just been bad luck as I have heard others say good things about their food.
I do love 5 guys and until someone posted about them on this board I never even knew we had one in town.
I like their burgers along with Culvers and Steak and Shake. Maggy just adores 5 Guys fries! She is happy to just get an order of fries.

Try Birmingham. Saw them earlier in the year when I had to go to the VA there with my dad.Comment

Red Robin is a Seattle staple and I will say it's not up to par with other places. Went to everyone single one in Seattle and all the same. My girlfriend went for the first time and she's a major foodie. Ended up getting sick from food poisoning, as did her daughter. Never again.
What is sad is they recently closed the very first Red Robin but it just shows what's happens when a local fav goes mainstream nationwide.

Perhaps because it looks wild?
Their plain serving of fries sucks...but in Animal Style mode...they are great...lol.Comment

Y'know hec, White Castle was bought out some years back by Riese Resturants. It was under the same management as Arthur Treachers, Roy Rogers, (if you can find one), and a few other fast food places that there aren't many of here in NY anymore. Not sure if it had changed hands since.Comment
