That's the part I'm going to really like about Five Guys...you can customize your burger a thousand times...lol.

In N Out is all about simplicity...they have a very limited and small menu...but have been very successful offering that to customers...that's why their lines move so fast.

I wonder how much Five Guys pay their employees?

In N Out is one of the highest fast food chain paid employees in the nation...starting at $10 an hour...and with health benefits...truly a great company to work for.

I hope Five Guys doesn't build up this popular food chain and then sell it to someone else. I hope they're in it to stay.

In N Out refuses to become a national chain...they are quite content being a regional power.

I ate at a White Castle going through Indiana once. It was just like Krystals here in the south with the same square burgers. I liked it well enough.

I miss eating at In N Out. Must have eaten there twice a week while I was working out in CA.

Five Guys is pricey. You can spend $9 easy on burger, fries and a drink. So it's not some place a go too often.

I also had White Castle when I went to the East Coast...I love those little sliders full of finely chopped caramelized onions...I could eat at least a dozen of those yummy suckers in my sleep...

I also wonder why White Castle doesn't expand to the West Coast...I guess they feel the same way as In N Out.

Question - What is the reasoning behind describing fries as "animal style" on their menu? Me no get it.

                        Perhaps because it looks wild?

Their plain serving of fries sucks...but in Animal Style mode...they are great...lol.

In N Out has a "secret" menu...stuff not advertised to the public...but if you find out what they are...you can order them.

For example...you could have ordered a 100 patty In N Out cheeseburger...the 100x100 (I hear these are no loner available though)...

Or smaller ones...like this one (I think they stopped making them as well)...

The biggest one I have ordered is the 4x4 (this is the biggest one you can get as of right now)...

I just found out myself you can request extra fried crispy fries at In N Out...you learn something new everyday...I'm going to try those.

The Animal Style burger is great too...that's if you like grilled onions.

Not a fan of In'N'Out but it is good. Grew up around it in L.A. Did like/prefer Tommy's until they changed their ingredients back in the 80's.
Gonna try a Five Guys tonight after work. They opened one up just north of Seattle.
Local favorite will always be Red Mill burgers.

I too wished they would open a White Castle either in Seattle or Portland. The frozen pre-packaged sliders just don't cut it.
