My favorite sodas...are Coca Cola (both regular and diet)...Mexican Coke being the bomb of course...I like Dr Pepper & 7 up too. I do like Pepsi despite the hate from my fellow Coke lovers...lol. And last...by certainly not least...I love Squirt...the world's best soda for tequila...I swear...Squirt and tequila were meant for each other...lol.
But...by necessity...I drink mostly diet sodas...about 90% of the time.
I'm also addicted to Perrier mineral water...I drink it with a squeeze of fresh lime...I go through tons of bottles a week...and sorry Pellegrino lovers...but not into that mineral water...it just doesn't have the fizz of Perrier...

I consider myself a carbonated connisieur. As far as soda goes...I have not tried regular coke or regular pepsi for at least a decade. With that said, I watched a documentary on the "Pepsi Challange" and the conclusion was that Pepsi has a very sweet taste right from the beginning while Coke has more of a mellow taste. With that said, I used to drink Diet Coke all the time. It does have some sort of nasty aftertaste to me but figured for 0 calories...it was worth it. The I tried Coke Zero and it tasted like regular coke (to me) with no calories. Then I tried Coke cherry zero and it is crazy good. I have also tried most everything mentioned here but also love the diet version of Cherry Pepsi Zero and Diet Cherry Dr. Pepper"The farther we go, the more the ultimate explanation recedes from us, and all we have left is faith."

Bottom Line...I prefer Coke to Pepsi. Our local grocery store puts one or the other on sale from week to week and to me....at least, that's the selling point. As far as carbonated mineral water; I personally prefer San Pelligrino to Perrier. I guess it is more of a personal taste as I'm not brand loyal but to me at least, Perrier has a funky after taste that I don't notice in San Pellgrino (as an aside; I have been drinking San Pelligrino before it was considered "fill in the blank" to drink San Pellegrino. I have never bought either with flavor added such as lemon or lime. I'm very cost conscious on this as well but unlike Pepsi or Coke; I wait for San Pellgrino to go on sale and stock up. I know it might sound strange to some but just my personal preference."The farther we go, the more the ultimate explanation recedes from us, and all we have left is faith."

To me...Pepsi is like a Coke that has lost some of its carbonation.
But yeah...Coke Zero does rule...especially with cherry...as well as the Cherry Dr Pepper flavored soda...delicious...

Good for you Scott. I've been off soda for over a year. (I did have a couple on the cruise). I pretty much live on milk, Propel water and juice, in that order."Do you believe, you believe in magic?

Try Squirt (or any other grapefruit carbonated soda) with a good tequila (Cazadores, Herradura, etc...)...this mixed drink is called Paloma...serve on crushed ice...with a pinch of fresh lime (some sea salt on the brim of the glass is optional)...DELICIOUS...it's the number one mixed drink in Mexico (nope, it's not the Margarita)...
