Me too, though I've really cut down on soda the last couple of years.

Diet Ginger ale is another favorite of mine, although if there is one type of soda I can't stand, it is the Carribean soda; of any flavor.

It doesn't matter how cold the stuff is, it just doesn't taste right to me.

I love Red Solo, I drink it when I'm down there, along with Stag beer. Red Solo reminds me of Big Red.

    What throne?

You mean second place over DIET Coke?

Because Pepsi has NEVER EVER been number one...classic Coca Cola has ALWAYS been number one since the very beginning.

Coke is McDonald's (#1)...Pepsi is Burger King (#2)...

I love Pepsi, I am not a big Coke fan. However, I find myself drinking sugar free sodas and juices as wel as water more now, and coke diet is not one of them. Come on Pepsi, you can reclaim your thone...

    Marketing ploy?

I like the occasional Coke, but I'm more of a Ginger Ale fan...

Or Ginger Beer!!! That's the West Indian in me...

A while back I saw The History of Coke on TV (may have been on MSNBC?) and way back in the early 1900s Coke had a chance to buy Pepsi cheap when it looked like Pepsi was going to fail. They passed on it and I would bet they've always regretted it. Just think of the market share they would control now!

    Fat free, 1%, 2%...then that's fine.

Whole milk on the other hand is not exactly that dietary...it has twice the calories of the same serving of soda.

Adult humans don't have to rely on milk for calcium...a bunch of other things provide calcium.

But yes, milk is obviously the healthy choice. Sodas (aside from being sugary) obviously have zero nutritional value, however, diet sodas, especially non-diet sodas, are a decent option for people looking for something other than water.

Having said that...I also love milk...used to drink whole milk for years...but switched to 2% a few years back...I'm so used to it in fact...that when I do get the chance to drink whole milk...it tastes like butter to me...lol.

Check out my late night snack right now...2% milk and a banana...mmm, mmm, mmm...
