I think I have reached my pain barrier with gas prices. In my mind anything over $3 a gallon was my painful psychological barrier but in my area it's running about $3.60 a gallon. Thank goodness my commute to work isn't too far but just pumped over $40 worth of gas in my car today and it had a 1/4 of a tank left!!! Granted it is a mid-size SUV but it was painful to watch. I'm definitely at the point where I don't drive my car anywhere on a whim and consolidate my trips. I eat most of my lunches out during the workweek and usually grab a salad at a grocery store about a mile away from my work but am now more prone to walking next door to a deli and grabbing a bowl of chili because it's cheaper than the salad once I factor in the gas prices. Anyone else doing this?

It stresses me out, seems like everytime i pass by a gas station the price has gone up . So much for the economy recovering any time soon.Vintage Toy Rescue

Yeah, it sucks. 3.54 here. The refineries blowing up in Japan will cause another shortage, too as they will need to import more gas to get the country back up and running. You must try to generate happiness within yourself. Only $3.29 here, but that still hurts. Glad I got that Hyundai Accent and I live only only 2 miles from work.
If I lived in Europe/East Coast/Bay Area/etc., I'd try to take all the public transit I could.
Glad I've already bought my tickets for MegoMeet and SDCC. Gonna try to keep my running around on to a minimum this summer!
