So the Warrior can pick up heavy loads...just like his counterpart...the buey...
He's still slow, has two left feet, can't smacktalk, and has exactly only two wrestling moves in his arsenal...thump and thud...

and don't forget, Warrior squashed Triple H in about 10 seconds. I personally would LOVE to see Warrior do that again today. I can't stand Triple H.
Orton should be the top guy in WWE right now or Wade Barrett.Check out my website: Megozine Covers - HomeComment

Hey,
OK, gonna wade in with my 2 cents. . .
WWE has had to become more mainstream in the last few years, and, unfortunately, that has really done it wrong. The reason TNA started to gain in popularity is that is went with the edgy aspect that brought WWE so far along. Think back to the Austin era, the beginnings of Degeneration X, the truely devil worshipping Undertaker. THAT is what brought the fans in. However, it has become a victim of it's own popularity. As it became more popular, it had to tone everything down and become mainstream, as otherwise the pop culture police would have caused all sorts of problems (for example, blood now is completely accidental, almost never seen on TV and rarely in the PPV shows). Likewise, many of the amazing stunts are banned now due to the increase liability costs.
So it makes sense that for a number of years now we have been seeing a very classic Good Guy Bad Guy theme - you are either a fan favorite by being the epitomy of everything good (honor, loyalty, respect) or the ultimate bad guy (Nexus ganging up on everyone). However, the problem with that is that they continued to DRRRRAAAAAGGGGGGG out the storylines. The same two guys would wrestle for the titles for 6 or 8 months, just going back and forth. Storylines were sacrificed for the same match over and over. Heck, if it sells once, it will sell 7 times, right?
Wrong, and the money has shown that. Evidence is that even with increased ticket and PPV prices, revenue is dropping.
So in the last year you have seen an increase in the "Heel that we all Love" storyline. Orton has channeled Austin in this matter. Other wrestlers are starting to try to be much edgier - John Morrison is a great wrestler, but you are starting to see him be much more aggressive and using tactics that are more vicious than you would usually see a good guy use. The line between good and bad is starting to blur.
Cena is not a good wrestler - more muscle than talent - but he is a fan favorite, mostly because he 'lives' a code that we all find honorable. But he has trapped himself in this role - if they try to make him a heel or change his persona, it will kill off his character. And right now WWE cannot afford to lose such a profitable asset. Orton is a great wrestler, but also trapped in his character - the best way for him to continue is to start pulling Austin like antics - dirty attacks on the heels, speaking his mind whenever and whereever - but I don't think he can do that in the current WWE atmosphere of semi political correctness. Popularity is a two edged sword.
So here is how I see this playing out. This will be Undertakers last Wrestlemania, and he will go out 20-0. It will be a hell of a match, but I think they will retire him on a high note. Cena will either take the title and then get pounded by the Rock, setting up future matches, or the Rock will interfere and cost Cena the title. Having Miz as the titleholder has worked for a while, but even his heel is getting on people's nerves, and I think his stay is almost over. He is so annoying people have almost stopped hating him and are just turning him off. But alot of this hinges on whether the Rock is truely staying or just here for a short time. The fact he was not on this last Raw makes me wonder just how long he will be around. Cena vs the Rock would be a great match, but how long could they continue this? You have two very well liked wrestlers going against each other - if you drag it out, one has to become hated, and neither one can afford to lose their popularity to keep WWE in cash.
Smackdown is dying - outside of Edge, there is just nothing that they are doing with that franchise. If they don't interject some new blood or interesting stories soon, it is going to fade away.
Bringing back the Rock was brilliant - if they continue to use him and get him back in the wrestling arena. Sting and Warrior would be amazing to see again - even if they were just used like Bret Hart, sparringly, it would still interject some much needed spice into the mixture.
And lastly, I have to admit that I am a Cena fan. Like I said, I don't think he is a great wrestler, but I like what he stands for and his persona is a great role model to believe in. That said, I would have no problem with the Rock kicking him all over the place!!

I started watching professional wrestling when I was nine or ten, and stopped after Chris Benoit killed his wife and son and then took his own life. I probably would never have gotten back into it had my nine-year-old son not somehow became obsessed with wrestling about nine months ago. So here I am again, watching Raw and Smackdown, and downloading the PPVs the morning after legally watching the PPVs.
I liked John Cena ever since he was The Prototype in Ohio Valley Wrestling but always hated the rap gimmick. He's moved past that (last week's promo on Johnson notwithstanding) thank god, and is probably one of my favorite wrestlers. He's definitely my son's favorite. We've seen all three of his movies, (Legendary was excellent) and my son is a total mark for t-shirts, hats, action figures, etc. I LIKE that there's at least one wrestler who is a full-fledged face, that (unlike, say, Randy Orton) isn't straddling the fence between "right and wrong." My son can and does follow that example.
Rocky always irritated me when he was a full-time wrestler, but I was happy enough to see him come back. That said, I don't WANT a return to the "attitude era." Remember the Katie Vick angle, and wrestlers getting cut every week? That was indicative of the attitude era. I want something that I can watch with my son, that he can enjoy withing me having to explain things like necrophilia and grown men cutting themselves for the sake of television ratings. But I digress.
Dwayne Johnson won't fight John Cena at Wrestlemania. He hasn't wrestled in seven years. Heck, Jerry Lawler has wrestled more in the last seven years than has Rocky. I could see him maybe being the guest referee for the Cena vs. Miz match, but really that's about it.
Both Rocky's promo and Cena's follow up were entertaining, but I'm not sure ultimately served much purpose. Rocky isn't coming back to be a full-time wrestler, and they're not going to turn Cena heel. If anything, it'll be like Mike Tyson referring the match between Steve Austin and then-heel Shawn Michaels. There was heat between Tyson and Austin, but ultimately Tyson called it down the middle and punched out Michaels at the end of the match.
Bringing Rocky back for Wrestlemania was the right call, he's added a layer of excitement and unpredictability, but, much like Cena said in his promo, after Wrestlemania he'll still be there and Rocky will be back making movies.--
