I'm really tired of this cold. I want to live someplace warm and tropical...where it's 80 degrees year round. I don't mind humidity either. -

How can you guys love rain!! I know we need some for obvious reasons, but 50% of the time?! Not for me. I enjoy too many outdoor activities (swimming, cycle riding, mountain biking, snowboarding) that don't go well with rain!Leave a comment:

Some people told me the cot of living in Seattle is too high and it's very expensive to live there. I don't know if anyone can confirm this. Still would you want to be living there and have the volcanoes go active?Leave a comment:

That's where I am right now. Actually more like half-way between Baltimore and DC. I love it here, but if I had to go somewhere else, I would consider Myrtle Beach, or Virginia Beach (there's a pattern here)I would love to move back to my home state of Maryland. Outside of Baltimore to be exact.
Outside the US, I really liked visiting the UK when my wife and I went 10 years ago.

Seattle is the heroin capital of the USA...and tons of homeless...mmm......come to think of it...it's identical to San Francisco...

But it also has my kind of weather (I love rain, lol)...pretty progressive...awesome scenery...very San Francisco like as well.Last edited by Hector; Jan 10, '11, 6:20 PM.Leave a comment:

Lived in Chicago for all but 2 years of my life (Philadelphia boarding school), I still haven't grown tired of it. Sure, the landscape is flat, the winters are brutal, but the summers are fantastic and you can't beat Lake Michigan as a backdrop to the city.
Still, if I had to move anywhere, I'd consider: Denver, Vancouver, Boise, New Orleans, Portland, Montreal, or downtown Scranton.Leave a comment:

Got to show some love for Tennessee. My wife and I talk of moving there when we retire. I love the area around Gatlinburg. Wouldn't want to live right in the tourist part, but in the general region

Just curious...what don't you like about Seattle? is it the weather? Because that wouldn't bother me. 50% Rain( I LOVE the Rain!), 40 degrees average low...70 degrees average high...am I right? Sounds like my kind of weather!

Rome- You can't find a bad meal in that city, it would be a chance to learn their beautiful language, I love soccer and I already own a Vespa.Leave a comment:

I live in NY and maybe I would move upstate but I don't know if I would ever leave. Tho my sister says come live in NC; I scoff at the idea. If I had to move out of NY I would go West and North. Somewhere's cooler-not warmer. I never considered moving to the UK or Sweeden but would like to visit it.Leave a comment:
