    NFL Quarterbacks - rank 'em

I just watched a cool show on ESPN about QB's with a roundtable discussion and some great interviews. Got me thinking about the best I ever saw. I felt the need to make a list. Keep in mind, these are the best I personally have witnessed.

Dan Marino - My favorite all-time football player I think. I loved his leardership and his fire. He grabs his receiver's face masks and gives them hell when they drop balls.

Steve Young - I loved his mobility, heart and class.

Kurt Warner - An inspiration. Career numbers are above average, but he's so much more than the sum of his parts.

Joe Montana - Maybe the most accurate passer of all-time. His confidence and poise make him a legend.

Brett Favre - I'll ignore the last couple of seasons, but he had so many ways to win with the Pack. His career TD to interception ratio is actually worse than VInnie Testaverde, but nobody can question his toughness and will to win.

Peyton Manning - I may be witnessing a top five QB watching him play now. Hard to say what the future holds, but he's a leader on and off the field. He's someone you'd want to play for and with.

Aside from Manning, I'm still waiting for a contemporary QB to really grab me. Brady is a terrific QB, I just don't like him for some reason. He's a Big Ten guy, so I should. Weird.

For pure passing, I was a big fan of Dan Fouts. Guy could stand in the pocket and deliver with tons of heat on him.

As far as BEST QB....Joe Montana will always be tops in my books. Brady, Manning, Marino, Favre, Young, and Elway are all great, but Montana edges them all for me.

I know I am a Chargers homer, but I really like watching Phillip Rivers play. The guy has a fire in his belly.

I left out Rivers and Brees because they are thisclose making the jump from very good to great. I want to see both go on to huge careers. Hard to believe the same team that drafted the emotionally retarded and highly unstable Ryan Leaf also drafted these two guys.

I only saw him on That's Incredible. I only really know of him because I was charting Marino's numbers and watching him catch Fran on many career stats. He must really have been good.

My Top Three favorites will always be Marino, Elway, and Unitas.

Others on the list would include Montana and the names others have posted, too.
                It's all good!

                          Bad Form Scott.
I woulda Put Elway in there for Sure.
I think he's got the Most Comebacks Ever ...., and I had to watch that Crap Almost Every weekend for 15 Years, living Outside of KC, And Watching the Hawks and Raiders on TV.

The Dude Even Came Back to Beat Farve in a SuperBowl, which was Unbelievable at the time.

Jim Kelly and His " Run and Shoot " Offense was the Greatest of All Time imo. Untill the Dude went to the SuperBowl. The Bills Destroyed Damn Near Everyone, Always. Just 0-4 in a Row at the Big Dance. But if you wanted to Point a Finger at someone for the reason Marino Never went back ..., There you go. Or Why Mr. Moon Sat Home.

Montana Is Much More a QB than Young. Young to Me will Always Be in His Shadow.

Love Him or Hate Him. Favre is 1 Of the Most Entertaining QB's of All Time. I think his Positives will out weigh his Negatives when all is Said and Done. He Made you wanna Watch What He will Do Next.

Peyton is Great. I will never Debate that. However I find Him so Damn Boring to Watch with the Consistant Audibles He Calls. I like Watching His Brother More.

Rivers has Grabbed Me, when He's Hot.
He is so Very Fun To Watch, .. and I see that Favre in him. I also Like Romo, and Brees.

                          I hope T-Bow Becomes Something.
