Making my conclusion based on the fact that I have only seen the Green Hornet trailer, I think Green Lantern will do better, b/c I think Green Hornet gonna SUCK!

I really liked the GL trailer and it will definitely do more money than Green Hornet, I must say I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the Hornet trailer. I think it will do much better than I thought it would when I first saw Seth Rogan cast as GH. I think it adds a nice blend of humor with some top notch looking martial arts stuff. The explosive weapons just add to the fun. I could see this becoming a cult favorite, but no where near the cash cow GL will be.
I can't see how you can even compare the two films, except they both have Green in the title....
I just mentioned it because I finally saw pt. 1 of Deathly Hallows and both movie trailers aired.
My theory on hornet potentially doing better is based on broad audience appeal. I have only seen one trailer of each and thought that (as someone mentioned), hornet is going to appeal to a teenage audience as well as some females (such as my wife) who do not like superhero movies but did like Spider-man which had some action along with humor.
Maybe GL has some humor in it as well but wasn't evident in the trailer I saw.

I wouldn't exactly call $98 million a 'knock out of the park' for Hornet. More like a base on error. And while Green Lantern is definitely an under performer, it looks to be getting a sequel anyway. Something the Hornet is not getting.
