There's nothing in between; Man is a primate. It's like saying something is in between beagles and dogs.Last edited by ABMAC; Nov 8, '07, 2:17 AM.Comment

Hmmmm....
Y'know; all things considered those are really good pics. Of WHAT is the question.
Whatever it is, it looks small. Like maybe around the size of a small kid. Shape-wise it looks like a sloth. Except there aren't supposed to be sloths in that part of the world. Could be a black bear. (Dunno 'bout the mange though: the fur looks too uniform for that.) In the first shot we don't get a clear look at the head; but you can see from the shadows that it's kinda big and round. Like a bear. The second shot seems to be kinda thin for a bear; especially around the hips, but there are a lot of shadows so it's tough to say. I'd think the bears would be fattening up this time of year.
Still; I'd put odds on "young bear." From the way it's rummaging around in the pics I'd bet getting some fur wouldn't have been too hard. I wonder if anyone did that.

I assume by 'neither man nor primate' you mean 'neither human primate nor non-human primate'. Alot of non-experts make this mistake.Comment

This page at cryptomundo.com does an excellent job of superimposing the pic of the mangy bear (as provided by ABMAC a coupla pages back) over the Jacobs photo.

If there was any lingering doubt about what this thing really is, this page (IMO) abolishes it.Comment

To satisfactorily end the debate the animal in question, Bigfoot or Bear, would have to be captured and examined.Last edited by johnmiic; Nov 9, '07, 12:13 PM.Comment
