I believe in the possibility of Bigfoot, and I believe these pictures are worthless, unless you like pictures of skinny bear cubs.

That's the first time I have seen a bear like this but after seeing a clear daylight picture, that is exactly what it looks like to me."The farther we go, the more the ultimate explanation recedes from us, and all we have left is faith."

I see no reason to not believe in the possibility of Bigfoot. This world may seem small, but it's not. There's still plenty of undiscovered areas, and it's a bit arogant to believe all animals that exists have been found and catalogued by humans. Yes, I believe the legends of Bigfoot, sasquatch, yeti, etc are based on "something". I'm just not smart enough to know what.
As for the photo, I believe it to be a real photo of SOME animal that was not expected to be in the area. Mangy bear, bigfoot, excaped circus ape, who cares? It's got people talking again about the possibility of there being something in this world we may not know about.
This world loses it's wonder everyday. Every new discovery brings a dulling of the wonder we all had as children before we learned better. I for one, am glad that a little bit of that can still exist, even at my age.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hmmm. Having seen that skinny bear photo (thanks Ant), I may have to revise my conclusion that 'the proportions [in the Jacobs photo] are all wrong for ursine anatomy'. This young bear's legs are longer than I thought bear legs were (I suppose because on a typical bear the fur hangs so low, partially covering the upper legs). The 'arms'/forelegs are also considerably longer than I believed bear arms to be. They certainly match the proportions seen in the photos at hand.
Thus, I stand corrected. There is no need to appeal to hoaxing, which was my first conclusion. The Jacobs photos are almost certainly a skinny, mangy bear.Comment

Oh, come on, it's obvious you photoshopped a mangy bear head onto a sasquatch photo!

Those photos are solid proof Bigfoot exists or doesn't!"No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris MannixComment

Now I used to go hunting with my dad (I never cared for it much) I mostly liked being out in the woods. One time when I was about 19, I was deep in the woods (a good 30 to 40 miles from any major buildings) I saw a nice sized elk (it was deer season) so I was watching it for a good 10 mins. then all of a sudden it took off running and about 10 seconds later I saw "something" I'm not saying it was Bigfoot, but it wasn't a normal thing to see. It came running on two legs and looked to be about the same height as the elk. It was a good 100 yards away, with just a small spot where the brush wasn't thick. I really, really doubt it was "Bigfoot" but seeing it did make me a "bit" more of a believer that something could be out there.
I know it could have been my eyes playing a trick on me, but one thing that I can't explain is after I lost sight of it I heard some loud cracking in the trees over in the same general area.
I'd say about 90% of me thinks that there is no Bigfoot, but the other 10% thinks there might be something out there.

Wow, I had a very similiar experience. While hunting with a friend. I was getting late (nearly dusk) we were actually heading down the mtn. When my friend stops and says I see something. So we (as curious people do) got out starting looking through our scopes, and he is telling me he is going to take the shot, that it's a deer. We had tags for both so it didn't matter at that point. However what I was seeing wasn't a deer. Mind you we are like 160 180 yards away. There is a pretty good thicket about 40' long and 15' wide. What I saw was dark, clearly standing upright and moving very slowly as if it knew we watching, but still trying to make an exit heading for the timberline. Now I am not saying it was Bigfoot. In fact, I can't really even say that I believe in Bigfoot, however what I can say is that (like the devil) I am scared as hell that it's out there. In the interum, I am trying to convince my friend that it's no deer. Finally we decide that we are looking at two different things. While all I could really see was a large upright sillouette type image I could really only tell it was upright from seing the back of a hairy/dark image. Seemed to be awefully cautious for a Bear, (and seemed to move a little faster the closer to the treeline it got) too tall for Elk/Deer/or other wildlife. It wasn't until later, that we actually kind of took it all in, and thought hey, could it be something like Bigfoot. Who knows. I have lived in Oregon most of my life (since age 3) we have camped, hunted, hiked, etc. And honestly I would have to say that is the closest I have ever come to the myth. I love debated conversation like this, and I am in total support of Oregonians. So I felt the need to share.
