You know, only reading the title of this thread I was thinking Carpenter. Sure Carrey and Houston have mad range and Aguiellera has that weird choppy/jazzy thing going, but Karen really had great tonality and control. SHe didn't need voice trickery or studio gimmicks to just sing a great song.

This new generation of no-talents should give a listen...
