Maybe someone could point me to a Seger performance that matches this:

        (turns up speakers)
        http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C3vUKBOJ5sU

And then to try to imagine almost four hours of that sort of intensity, song after song, night after night, tour after tour, for almost 40 years.

This is why he's the Boss.

          Tough call.
          Different feelings.
This has become the soundtrack to my life.
Unfair to ask me to make a choice tho IMO.

You can't even call this objectively.

Between the two of them they only have ONE #1 Single (US Billboard Top 100) as an artist.
                (Seger 1 for 64....Springsteen 0 for 66)

I find that a bit surprising....especially since that was Seger with "Shakedown".

Seger actually has two if you count his co-writing credit on "Heartache Tonight" by the Eagles and I'm sure he and Springsteen both have a few more of those (as writers), but strictly as the artist, only Seger has a #1 hit and it was "Shakedown"?...

And before everyone rails against me for pointing this out, I'm just saying that it is all opinion because Milli Vanilli had 3 #1 hits and in no way could anyone say that Milli Vanilli is 3 times better than both Seger and Springsteen combined.

(Edited to add...oh, yeah...Springsteen wrote "Blinded by the Light"!!!

I don't prefer one over the other...kind of like 'em both, really, but if there is an edge for me it goes to Seger because I really like "Turn the Page".

Springsteen, and it's no contest. I do like Seger, though.

IMO, Springsteen never wrote a song that was as catchie and toe tapping as this Seger classic.
