I totally agree with you on the Offense in the pre-season. I think the first string's only touchdown came in game three against San Diego with a Defensive set up.

It could all be true....however, what makes more sense?: Taking it easy in the pre-season and not tipping yer hand or Dallas took 5 steps backwards? It cooouuulldd be a luck thing, be it good luck last year or bad luck this pre-season, but until they play for real, I wouldn't put any stock in anything.

They went 2 for 4 last year, losing to the Raiders. They went 2 for 4 this year, losing to the Raiders.

As far as pre-season goes....The Rams beat New England in a New England Home Game. Not taking that to Vegas.

And they are not my 'Boys.

It is a widely acknowledged fact that there is absolutely no correlation between the two records (unless the inverse is true). Preseason means absolutely nothing. Frequently, there is a preseason where no ultimate division winners have a winning record.

Usually, a winning record in preseason translates to a less than .500 record and, as Football is a game of records, anyone can look that up.

Now, I fully realize anything can happen in the course of a season and the Cowboys could suck as heavily as imagined in this thread but, as the season remains ahead of us and we must base this on predictive stats, there is nothing here to warrant a belief that they "suck" because they lost a preseason game. In fact, history would make it appear to be the opposite.

There is no drama in preseason. Never has been, never will be. They are scrimmages.

I didn't mean your "boys" ..., or even the Cowboy's ingeneral..., I was more so Talking about anyone who's a Football Fan, Chiming into a game where a Team they like has that sorta performance.

I'm very aware of the fact that preseason doesn't mean Donkey Doo Do ..., however to get Jazzed up with Football, it is nice to see something, a play, or a drive that sparks you. I guess even more so from a Highly covered , Commercialized slammed in your face and TV Team.

It is nice to see any kind of Football being played after Tennis and Golf.

Sorry, Dude, you know I totally love ya'.

I get the thrill of a preseason smackdown of Dallas. I was preaching to the choir.

I don't particularly hate the Steelers, but the thought that the same embarrassing scenario couldn't happen to Pittsburgh one day later.......with Roethlisberger in the game when he won't be there until mid-Season.

What you saw might be the best you can hope for.

Oooorrr...you can realize it is preaseason.

Well, since you put it that way.... (from the perspective of those who want it one way, but when the shoe is on the other foot, they probably won't wade into it again.)

The first half of these games are an indication of whether your first stringers are in shape and cohesive yet (except the last game were most play a couple of series), the second half is more about how you'll do when your first stringers go out with injury. The greed of the owners and the idea of an 18 game season amazes me though. Without expanding the roster another 7-10 players, no one will get through a season.
