We used to Run from Moose when I was a Kid, and Lived in Alaska..... They were everywhere . Bear too ..., in the Summer time, when We went fishing.
1st time I seen a Possum , I freaked out. I had never seen 1 before. I thought it was some sorta Mutated Sewer Rat, and it was like 1 am in the Morning ..., And Honestly at the time, I could have been influenced on something here or there too.Comment

Well, once I saw a baby deer come down out of a residential area, hop across freeway traffic and then onto the overpass where I was walking. I tried to chase it but it was really fast. By the time I got off the overpass and rounded the corner it was gone.
Then another time, when I got off the bus returning from a toy show, a saw a turkey running down the street! No lie, a real turkey! A guy driving passed me in his car pulled over and asked, "Was I dreaming or did I just see a turkey?" If I wasn't loaded down w/ toys, I would have tried to follow it.Last edited by HardyGirl; Aug 27, '10, 5:57 PM."Do you believe, you believe in magic?

I saw lots of wild animals on a safari. I don't know how rare they are though. I saw lions, cheetahs, wildebeasts, lots of different types of gazelles, giraffes, zebras, hippos, elephants...baboons...leopards...cape buffalo...Those who look outside dream. Those who look within awake.

Saw a bald eagle last Sunday morning, at the lake. They seem to be making a come-back here in Kentucky, much like the black bear.
We have a pretty good elk herd here in the mountain section of the state, and turkey sightings are an every day thing.

We live in a fairly rural area and see many forms of wildlife on a frequent basis. Animals that we see on a semi-regular basis include: Deer, Elk, Fox, Coyote, Bobcat, Bald Eagles are being sighted more and more frequently, Osprey, Black Bear...which are certainly around as I've seen many photos from friends and have come across droppings, yet have not had an offical sighting. Wolves have offically been sighted in Michigan's Lower Penninsula too, though I have yet to see.Looking for MOC Pocket Super Heroes...

As for rare... there's this cool albino squirrel I see traipsing along the power lines in the alley. Does that count?Comment

I've seen black bears, elk, a white fox, red fox, bob cats, we had a cougar in our back yard once. And yeah if bigfoot is real I may have seen him too... I still have no clue what it was but it was big and on two feet and covered with fur, I think it might have been a prankster running around during hunting season.Comment

That is pretty cool Pat.
A baby deer almost ran into me today. Not so cool.Thank goodness I missed it. I was more concerned for the baby deer than I was my car.
Enjoy what you like, and let others enjoy what they like. (C) Azrak 2009
