A play-off system could work. All you have to do is look at the smaller Divisions in college football to see that.

I don't like the idea of a play-off, I like the tradition of the bowl games. The newest BCS system is pretty accurate and there will never be a shared title again with this new system.

I love the bowl tradition too but anymore it's just not the same because it's more of an advertisment for a sponser than it is the old school bowl games I grew up on. Now it's almost not called the Orange Bowl or Cotton Bowl but instead the Outback so and so or the Federal Express so and so Bowl. I guess money is the name of the game in sport now days. Maybe I'm getting too old

Keep the bowl games and locations, just use them for different levels of the playoffs, and rotate them every year (just like what is done now) National Titles should be won on the field, not in a computer.
