Fight? I would say AC/DC since Bon Scott was one crazy dude. Musically, Well Angus Young rocks hard but Eddie can shred. Always liked DLR antics more and Bon or Brian.
I would vote for Van Halen.
Tough call for me. Don't like Brian Johnson, flat out can't sing anymore.
But both bands in their prime ie bon scott and dlr and someone laid tickets down to both shows and I had to chose. Man.....That would be a game time decision for me. lol
Even though i'm a big classic Van Halen fan sometimes I secretly think Eddie's playing is a bit over-rated and that's what brings them down just a tad in my book.
Call me crazy but sometimes Eddie's unique way of playing get's a bit annoying, imo.
I like them both musically. Fight wise I dunno. The Van Halen brothers have fought amongst them selves and with David Lee Roth for some time. So they have more experience at fighting maybe. LOL!
AC/DC is unique when it comes to vocals. Eddie Van Halen can or used to be able to tear a guitar up. David Lee Roth was great in Van Halen as a vocalist. Too bad his ego got in the way of his musical talent. I know some would disagree.
I thought that it was cool that AC/DC was on the sound track of Maximum Over Drive. The was a cool movie back in the day. Now when I watch it again it looks pretty lame of course compared to the new technology.
Has Van Halen ever did any sounds tracks for movies that I cannot seem to think of right now? I am sure they did. Nothing comes to mind right now though.
Enjoy what you like, and let others enjoy what they like. (C) Azrak 2009

The only one that comes to mind was National Lampoons "Up the academy" They played runnin with the devil at the end.
This thread topic made me chuckle a little. When I was in 9th grade, somebody asked me who was the better band AC/DC or RUSH. I had never heard of either band as I was into 50's and 60's oldies and Elvis music when I was young, and until my "music awakening" in 10th grade, didn't listen to any of the current music of the time. I didn't want to seem like an idiot for not knowing either band, so I replied "RUSH"
One of the first bands I was introduced to when I finally got my musical tastes current was AC/DC and I remember thinking, "I was an idiot to tell that dude that Rush was a better band, this band is awesome". A few months later Rush's "Moving Pictures" was released and I friend of mine got the album and we played it and my first thought was "Wow, I actually did get that question correct when I answered, Rush. They have been my favorite band ever since and I am going to drive up and kidnap Mikey and take him to see the concert at the Allentown fair in a few weeks! Especially since he started that "my fair sucks for music this year" thread some time ago!
Anyway, sorry to get off topic, just had to chuckle when I saw the thread title and remembered that. As for my answer, both are great and it's a tough choice, but Van Halen gets my vote.
