We get them during the summer...they're silent and they just appear from under the baseboard etc...and nothing will make you scream like a girl than one of these scurrying past your foot while you're in the bathroom!
We get them in my house. I've seen them for years and never gotten used to them. Luckily, an exterminator told me how to control them and it has worked.
I get a lot of ants...those tiny little black ones...they tend to show up after a rain...I don't know why...but they are a little bit of a pest...but I blast them with Black Flag...and problem solved...
I also get a lot of spiders...really small and thin ones...I personally don't get effected by them...I like spiders...and I rarely kill them...but their webbing is annoying...I have to constantly keep cleaning that stuff...lol.

Spill, Goblin19. I sure would like to see fewer of them around.
I know how you feel. Our home has been invaded by millipedes all of this summer. We have killed hundreds of them either through insecticides or swatting but they just keep coming.
Apparently, they breed in your drain, so you pour bleach down every drain in your house, starting at the top and working your way down to the basement. Repeat this process every month. 1 gallon for you upstairs drains and 2 gallons for your basement. Eventually, I was able to just do a gallon in my basement and none upstairs. Also, we got rid of our ivy-like vegetation by the side of our house and that semed to help, too. We still get them, but probably 1/10th the amount.
