    New Terminator movie for 2009

Looks like Terminator will be a 6 part story, like Star Wars.

Terminator will be back in 2009
Cameo role for Arnie in Terminator Salvation?

Shooting will begin in 2008 on Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins, which promises to "reinvent the cyborg saga with a storyline to be told over a three-pic span".

Production company Halcyon is keen to stress that the movie will indeed be a "reinvention", as executive producer Moritz Borman told Variety: "The third film was really the conclusion of what happened in the 'now'. You will find the most-loved characters, but the intention here is to present a fresh new world and have this be the first of a trilogy."

Halcyon co-CEO Derek Anderson teased: "This is set in the future, in a full-scale war between Skynet and humankind."

Terminator 3 writers John Brancato and Michael Ferris have already completed the Terminator Salvation screenplay, and Charlie's Angels director McG is hotly tipped to take the helm. The film is slated for a summer 2009 release.

Regarding the possible participation of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Borman said: "We've left it open for him to maybe do a cameo. He has an important job, as we know, and the final decision will be based on his desire and availability, along with what the director wants." ®

I have my doubts about these up coming films. The 1st Terminator was awesome, T2 was just an awesome. T3 wasn't anywhere near as good as the first two. I think the only people who will really love these up coming Terminator films, will be die hard, hard core Terminator fans. The films mostly are going to be a big violent bloody war film ... we already know what happens and I have a feeling that the back story from Kyle in T1 will be a better look at everything, than all three of these new films.

I'm a hardcore Terminator fan, but I felt that the story was completed with T2. T3 came up with some interesting ideas that allowed for more sequels, but it weakened the series as a whole.

T3 was quite bold wasn't it?

I was pretty impressed by the movie...but that above aspect was strange
(and actually pretty cool) to me.

The only thing I liked about part 3 was Arnold and that evil chick (super hot) but other then that it was alright.I really doubt Arnold will go thru all that trouble of working out and getting back in shape for this movie, maybe they'll use some computer generated Arnold

oh by the way I'd still go watch it at the movies

An entire trilogy of films set in the future, war-torn time-frame we only glimpse bare moments of in the first three?

They had me at "I'll be back!"

I was a little disappointed that they didn't bring back Edward Ferlong as John Connor for part 3,I think the guy who played him is a better actor, but I like to see the originals in there, including Sara Conner

Arnie is the only Terminator as far as I am concerned...but shouldn't he be a little too busy, he is a governor now isn't he?

3 was one movie too many for me. T2 had everything tied up in a nice neat little ball and 3 had to come along and mess everything up.

I'd be interested to see what they do with the human/skynet war set in the future, but I have my doubts. I'd be surprised if they're even half as good as the first 2 of the original 3. I doubt it, but we'll see. It'd be nice if they were very well done with good acting and all, but I doubt it.

AGH-nold needs to do Conan the king! Even now, he doesn't need to be shirtless, He started his career with that he should finish the series at least!
But if it's starting then we prolly won't see him, remember what Kyle Reese said, "The first series were easy to spot, they had rubber skin, but these are new." So some rubber Terminators would be cool! OH what if they did the Robocop/Terminator story! Oh, sweet Jesus I would be there with bells on! GOD BLESS FRANK MILLER!

Hmmm, to me T2 was the end of the story. T3 had some interesting points, but really it was one movie too many.
And now another trilogy, but in the future? It's Star Wars backwards... hope the Terminator trilogy is better than the second SW trilogy tho

T3 wrapped up the Storyline...and with no Arnie as the Terminator, I think They should just let it die.
