Went and saw it... I had never seen any of the cartoons or anything, so I just took it at face-value. I actually enjoyed it. It's as good or better as any of the other stuff out there right now, with the exception of Toy Story 3.
If you don't know anything about the characters, you'll like it fine.

I've had that problem before myself...usually after a good feed of chilli, or I make the mistake of eating at Taco Bell. Just remember to drive home with the windows open, and make him do a few deep knee bends before you let him back in the house, and all will be fine!

Well.... there's mention of it before the heroes discover water is their weakness during the news. Ironicly, the discovery was made in the Middle East.
What a twist!

It's payback for all the hate Avatar received here.
I love Avatar...seen it about five times already.
But many posters here still hated it.
So now it's my turn to hate The Airbender...

Yes...but it's hard to disagree with the Rotten Tomato 8% rating...and these respected critics listed in the Yahoo movie section...for all of them to agree on hating it...speaks volumes...I've never seen so bad reviews for such a high profiled film...even the regular user reviews...meaning...regular movie fans...don't like it very much...and they tend to give good reviews to most movies...

The Last Airbender - User Reviews - Yahoo! Movies
Plus...I know M Knight Suckslying first hand...90% of his movies suck...I mean...really suck...I believe with all my heart (99.99%)...that this movie blows.

Well...that's even sillier...lol.There's a school of thought on Signs that said that water, as a whole, didn't harm the aliens. It was water only handled by Mel Gibson's character's daughter because she was an angel (the clues are in how Mel Gibson talked about her birth and how she could foresee things). So all those glasses of water handled by her were like holy water.Leave a comment:

I actually enjoyed Signs. But, regardless, I don't really see The Last Airbender as an "M. Night Shamalayan movie." Unlike all of his other movies, the original source material wasn't his. And I thought Airbender was as true to the cartoons as you could get, with a few expecptions.Leave a comment:

I especially hate Signs.
Highly advanced creatures...on an invasion of Earth...yet they keep all their attacks harassing Mel Gibson and his family around a corn field in the middle of nowhere?
They can jump rooftops...yet they can't brake down a wooden door, nail down windows?
Water kills them...yet the aliens decide to invade Earth with NO protective suits of any kind?
Plus not only is Earth 70% water...but there's perpetual moisture in the air at all times...lol.
Plus where's all the alien weaponry at?
Silly...silly...silly little movie...

We went to see it on opening day and loved it. The different name pronouncement bugged me, but beyond that... I felt it was very true to the source material.
I will say it isn't worth seeing in 3D, because there isn't that much difference.Leave a comment:

I Agree.
But I really, Really Liked Sixth Sense and Unbreakable. Those 2 Flicks are Fantastic To Me.
