Have never watched any of the other movies except for Sixth Sense and Unbreakable. It's so incredible how a movie that had so much potential can be unbelievably stinky.

Burton and Schmalayan need to be stripped naked and set in a cornfield and shot by gorillas on horseback.

    I liked the village.

A shame this movie is something my kids are really wanting to see.
They have been "Avatar"(that's right the real Avatar)fans for years.
They watch the cartoon almost everyday.
First jonah hex now air bender don't even get me started on eclipse this is one sad summer movie wise.

    I especially hate Signs.

Highly advanced creatures...on an invasion of Earth...yet they keep all their attacks harassing Mel Gibson and his family around a corn field in the middle of nowhere?

They can jump rooftops...yet they can't brake down a wooden door, nail down windows?

Water kills them...yet the aliens decide to invade Earth with NO protective suits of any kind?

Plus not only is Earth 70% water...but there's perpetual moisture in the air at all times...lol.

Plus where's all the alien weaponry at?

    Silly...silly...silly little movie...

    M. Night Shyamalan is a hack...I hate that dude and his crappy movies.

He had two decent ones in his career, the Sixth Sense and Unbreakable...but the rest of his flicks are pure crap...I hate Signs, I hate The Village, I hate Lady in the Water (probably the worst movie in the history of cinema)...I hate all his movies.

I hope this is the end of this crappy director.

    M. Night Shyamalan...put a fork in it...you are done.

I know it's a pretend world, etc...but I didn't want to mention race and who they had playing who. It bothered me too.

    I would wait until DVD...

So I guess when Chinese people sang Ang Lee they say Ung Lee? I don't know about that...

I saw it yesterday, and I REALLY HATE THE WAY THEY PRONOUNCED Aang's name. They couldn't say Aang. They said Ung. "My name is Ung, and I am the Avatar." Everytime they called or said his name I wanted to bust out laughing. And Sokka is pronounced "Soak-uh" in the film. Acting was pretty bad, especially Admiral Zhao. His acting is on par with acting in Spy Kids.

I hated the way they had girls in the monastery who were also monks but they had long hair. I have never seen a monk with long hair. That really bothered me.

Don't watch it in 3D for sure. And the martial arts in the film is not good.

Rotten Tomatoes gives it an 8%. That's a stupendously low rating. I haven't heard a single good thing about the film at all. Usually films below %50 aren't worth watching; something below 10% has to be pretty atrocious.

    I'd save your money.
