I built my own cage for about $40. The pet store ones are too small!

Its made of Cubes & Coroplast. The Cubes are 1/12" wire grid storage cubes. Coroplast is corrugated plastic sign material. Very easy and you can make them any size and multi level. They don't need tops as the little guys and gals are not escape artists. You may need a top to keep other pets and kids out.
Too many toys. Not enough space!

Closeup of the inside of their cage with new fleece bedding.
Much nicer than old newspapers or the expensive bedding materials.

So are you gonna wash the bedding evey few days? One thing you should know. Bedding serves another purpose. Guineas need to dig to establish their "territory" and to keep their nails filed down. While they still need to be cut every so often, digging in the bedding helps a bit.

Fleece is the new wave of bedding. Wicks the urine away into towels underneath. Sweep up the pellets 2 or 3 x a day. Wash towels and fleece every 3 days. They have ample floor time and they will have a tile in the cage to scratch down nails. Still have to keep an eye on them and trim them. They dig in the litter box with the traditional bedding. Seems to work well for those at Guinea Pig Cages, Care, Store, Photos of Guinea Pigs and More Forum!
          Thanks for the comment HardyGirl.
