Hey, at least the guy is doing something positive. More than we can say for most celebs.

I've always liked his stuff for the most part. Waterworld and Postman aren't nearly as bad as other movies that cost just as much.

Open Range is one of the finest westerns ever made. Great flick.

I can't believe I'm asking for more info on this, but - more info on this. Was it salt water? Because that's good to know if you're ever stuck on a raft with no water in the middle of the ocean with no fresh water and a crate of enema kits.

Just kidding. I actually like most of Costners work, including Wyatt Earp.

Well, it had it's moments and I thoroughly believe it was ruined by casting Whitney Houston as the flavor of the moment. It should have been made when it was first intended. Then it would have been a great movie.

Script-wise, it was written with Steve McQueen in mind for the part of Frank and while I think it would have been a better movie had it been made in that time, I think Costner held his own. I think he was great in the part...it should have been made earlier and not as a "cashing in on celebrity" deal like it was.

Kudos to Costner on his Gulf efforts.

In defense of his spotty acting work, gotta say I'm a big fan of his 1985 movie Fandango.
