The family and I also just got back from Toy Story 3, loved it. You might want to have more than one tissue handy. I got a little choked up also.

Ok good, I'm glad I'm not the only one who got choked up at the end of the movie!

Just got back from seeing it tonight. We(my wife, son and nephew) saw it in IMAX 3-D. I highly recommend seeing it in IMAX. Awesome!!!! And yes if you don't tear up a little at the end your not human.

I saw it on Friday night. I forgot how much I liked the first two. I was also a little choked up at the end, and genuinely scared just before everything was resolved. I was floored by the quality of the animation, the voice acting, even the way the characters seemed to be "performing." Oh, and the stuff with Barbie and Ken - just perfect.

Saw it yesterday with the wife, the two kids, and even my nephew in tow. We all loved it. The best one of the batch, which is truly amazing, because the first two are flawless. Probably the most satisfying, consistently-well done series of movies in all of film history. Name another movie series that doesn't have at least a semi-dud in a series of three.

I'm glad you guys manned up and admitted you got blubbery..I'm glad there was some fun stuff in the credits. It gave me time for my eyes to go back to normal after getting all red and misty!!! My 8-year old son even admitted he cried a little, which I told him was more than okay.

We are going to see it again at the drive-in next weekend!

I think anyone on this board, whether you have kids or not, could truly appreciate this movie. Even more than the first two, it's a love letter to the toys of our youth. Go see it!!!

Yes I agree, I think this movie really does capture that sentimental love and attachment we have to our toys and our youth, moreso than even the other two TS films. It made me sad because, while I have a pretty decent sized toy collection these days, hardly any of them are the actual toys I owned as a kid since most of mine were unfortunately thrown out by my dad when I was a teen. Re-buying them as an adult has brought me alot of joy, don't get me wrong, but it's just not quite the same. I'd gladly trade my MOC Batman that I own now, for the beat up well-worn Batman that my father tossed out. (But don't get me wrong, I'm still pretty glad to own the one I have now at least!!)

The other two Toy Story films were excellent, and I always felt that they were movies for kids that had enough stuff in it that an adult could easily enjoy it. This one definitely targets the adult audience a bit more, not in terms of having anything that would be objectionable for kids to view, but in terms of touching that sentimental nerve within us.

Just saw at the IMAX in 3D. By far the darkest of all stories.
Very entertaining for the adults and tweens. I choked up at the end. Yes I did.

If you get the opportunity, see it in 3D. This is one of those movies meant to be seen this way, IMO.

Just saw it... great movie regardless of genre. Why is it that Pixar can tell a better story than almost all of the real live people movies?

I dunno, but they (Pixar) seem "charmed"...and reviews point to this
TOY STORY 3 as being the primest of prime examples of their "perfection"
                            ...magic or otherwise.

I may never see this actual movie... but I'm amazed by the reviews, so it's
almost bound to fall short in some way if I do.... seriously, just when I think
a movie could never get better reviewed...I read what TS3 has gotten...
                            it's like....amazing!

Watched it with the family on Father's Day. It was my favorite in the series. It's amazing how much you care about these characters. It's easily one of the best 2 or 3 movies I've seen in the last decade plus.

The people at Pixar are fantastic artists and craftsman. I mean the worst movie the studio has been involved with is "A Bug's Life," and it's better than a majority of the animated films ever committed to film.

Their storytelling is amazing. I was legitimately tense near then end and thrilled by who and how the day was saved. And the ending, well, like many others I teared up.

It's a story starring toys marketed to kids, but the over-arcing theme is aging, retirement, death and finally renewal and legacy through our children. But the film plays perfectly to just about anyone of any age.

The two most recent times when I was truly touched by a new film has been the ending to "Toy Story 3" and then the prologue to "Up" last year. Pixar truly is a great film studio.
