I never bought my early 80's Transam or my 1964 Thunderbird (Highlander the series). My 97 probe kind of looks like a old transam so that's a consolation prize I guess

my dad had 2 cars i wish I could have had
in 75 he still had the first new car he ever bought a 1968 seafoam green mustang with a black vynyl hardtop, 302 v8 it was a great car and some pot heads stole it and wrapped it around a telephone pole. The insurance company wrote it off as a loss and dat used the money for a pinto wagon. That car he was able to dump just before the problems with pintos became known (my mom had a hatchback that got rear ended my grandfather said it was a firetrap and get rid of them).
the other was a 1987 LTD crown victoria 2 door (the last year they made the big sedan in 2 door) in 2 tone black and grey. It aslo had a 302 and I got to drive it once to my senior prom in 89. When I was at college it got wrecked (dad got hit one night by a drunk driver) Dad was fine but the car was too beat for the insuracne to fix they totalled that one too I never even had a chance to fight for it. he got a dodge spirit to replace it. not a bad car but nothin close to the vicComment

The late 70s early 80s vettes have the most anemic carb version of the 350 in 'em. You can find them in various states of disrepair and practically build it your way. You can find them for less than 5k and then build from there.Same scenario for me...The Stingray version I've always liked. But I'd be happy with anything prior to when they dropped that design sometime in the 80s I believe. I'm still shooting for one at the age of 50 so I can be one of these old guys that can't get in and out of the low seats that easily
Make a Corvette Summer out of it, and then send us the before and after pics.
