Wow... Interesting thread. I actually learned quite a bit from reading it. Especially LadyZod's post. The only one I can really comment on, is the Area 51 thing;
I've been told stories by some pretty notable and sane people including Steven Spielberg, that they either had seen, or knew people that had seen undeniable proof of extra-terrestrial life on this planet. I don't really know the absolute nature of it, or what exactly was seen or by whom, but I will say that I personally believe there is life elsewhere in the known universe. Whether or not that life has visited Earth, I don't know for sure, but I'd have to say if there was irrefutable proof exposed to the public of such beings, it wouldn't surprise me at all. I'd be really curious to see what they look like and if I came even close in any of the hundreds of renditions I've come up with for movies, TV, games, etc... That would be pretty cool.

This site actually does a pretty good job of debunking most of that film:
Zeitgeist, the movie Debunked - Introduction - Zeitgeist Exposed - Conspiracy Science - Conspiracies and Myths Refuted, Debunked, and Explained
If you're interested in discussing it I can provide you with a few key arguments to discuss that I researched when good friend of mine became obsessed with this movie.Comment

Good stuff.
A great site to check out is: abovetopsecret.com
And they usually cover a vast gambit of these topics on Coast to coast.“When you say “It’s hard”, it actually means “I’m not strong enough to fight for it”. Stop saying its hard. Think positive!”Comment

Great stuff here.
There was a 9/11 Debunking special on just last night on either NatGeo or History Channel. The conspiracy people were the Truthers and some kids who made a video called Loose Change. Every time something was explained not to be conspiracy they had a lame-*** answer which could not be tested or supported.
One famous claim is that the WTC was destroyed so the property could be developed to make more $$$. Really? All that valuable retail space should be burnt to the ground killing the people inside just to erect new buildings??? All the proposed new designs have even less space than the original WTC buildings had.
The best argument against secret demolition is the number of people it would take to prep the buildings and the amount of access they needed to beams which were covered up. To demolish any building you have to expose many key parts of it's structure to mount charges. You couldn't do that in secret. I worked in a sky scraper in Manhattan. They couldn't change a light bulb without disturbing at least 6 people at a time.Comment

It's theoretically possible life is out there. That it is intelligent or even aware of us is something else entirely.You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing.
