Apparently Steve was rather difficult at times.

Still, it's my favourite of the two, and I am a HUGE fan of Steve's.

Stalag 17 was used as a template for Hogan's Heros -- very obviously seen in the Sgt Schultz characterization, and there is a bit of an association going on for me when I watch it. I think HH is a brilliant series, but its elements of parody diminish the impact of Stalag 17 for me. I own the DVD's for all three so I have to say that I've affirmed the validity of each production with my wallet.
90, Joe 90.... Great Shakes : Milk Chocolate -- Shaken, not Stirred.

They're both great. I think I slightly prefer The Great Escape.

It's amazing to me that the "Stalag 17" producers lost their lawsuit against the show.
