The dude showed up and sang...the guy is insane...but in a good way.

...but seriously i would never or have ever bought any Cd's put out by any of the artist that have come out of AI.

I don't know...Carrie Underwood is AWESOME! Ill be first in line to buy her Greatest Hits when she decides to put out that album.

Last nights Finale was a Geezer fest.

LOL! Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. They chastise the contestants all season long on singing songs that are too old or not "young enough". and then the whole finale is full of artists (for the most part) who haven't had a hit in over 25 years or their biggest hits were over 20 years ago.
Not that I didn't enjoy it but I kind of figured AI was aimed at the under-25 audience and I kept thinking to myself that the kids watching this must be saying, "Who's that old guy?".

Oh yeah, I knew I forgot something when I was talking to my friend about the show this morning. I was surprised he was there also. I thought he was on death's doorstep from all the media stories.

And yeah, Paula never looked better...and didn't even slur any words or act high at all.
For a second there I thought she was going to say she was coming back to take Simon's seat.

Heck, Kellie Pickler has sold almost twice as many albums as Taylor Hicks (the winner) and she came in 6th that year. Daughtry has sold almost 10 times as many albums as Hicks.

I think Carrie Underwood would have been big even if she would have never appeared on American Idol. I'm not belittling the show or saying Carrie is the best ever, but she was going to be a star in Nashville with or without the show.

As far as my buying an album by any of the winners, all I can say is, "I'm clearly not part of the target demographic for the show".

I was wondering where David Cook was (he won a couple years ago). I didn't see him. I didn't notice Clay Aiken or Matthew Lambert in the Idol group either (but they panned by them so fast it was hard to tell).

Dewyze will sell even fewer albums than Hicks. This group was terrible this year and almost unwatchable. With Cowell leaving, this show is doomed. If they pull in even half the ratings they did this season next year, it'll be a mild success. AI is circling the drain.

Yeah I don't see it that way....fat is fat But Kelly is still my favorite and the BEST Idol they've ever had....Carrie Underwood is a close 2nd....Everyone else is a very distant 173rd
