Lee Dewyze wins American Idol !

Wow, I thought Crystal would win, but my wife had felt for weeks now that Lee would take it. She thinks Crystal probably already has a record deal in the waiting so...

What do the rest of your idol fans think of who won?

Didn't see that coming....They've pretty much built Crystal up as the winner since Day 1. But same thing happened with Adam Lambert last year...they basically crowned him from the get-go and yet he lost.

I could actually care less this year...they all pretty much sucked IMO....worse season ever. I only tuned in tonight to see the send off to Simon Cowell. He's pretty much the only reason to watch and now that he's gone, look for the show to continue to tank next year. I know that I for one won't be watching...it's the end of an era.

yeah, talent was definitely down many notches this year. I figured Lee would win as most voters are female around the age that would find him attractive. Last year Adam was by far the better talent but since he was so controversial and Danny G and Kris were so similar, I figured all of the people who voted for Danny would vote for Kris just to keep Adam out.

Crystal has way more talent than Lee...and she was consistently the best contestant throughout the show.

But I just KNEW Lee was gonna win...girls vote more than guys...and Lee has millions of female groupies already.

Actually it was all over MSN about the same time I posted it, plus I guess at this point the show has aired even on the west coast by now...but I am still so very sorry for those I may have ruined it for :(
Lesson learned. I will try and remember to not make that mistake again

Well it's not like it was the end of the world or anything and I'm sorry if I came off too harsh but I was only on this website (not on facebook or news sites or anything else) getting some Mego love while I taped the show. I usually let at least 1/2 of a show like this record and then start watching it so I can fast-forward through all the commercials (and boring stuff).
Actually I expected him to win anyway so wasn't like it was an upset to me but it did kind of spoil the suspense while watching it since I already knew who won.
I thought it was a really good finale overall and was one of my favorite AI finales. It felt more like a series finale though, with Simon leaving. I can't imagine the show being as popular ever again unless he comes back.
I really enjoyed the surprise guests although many of them looked like they were ready to get back to the retirement home to watch Matlock.
It looked to me like that Dane Cook bit got out of hand and that guy who grabbed the mic wasn't supposed to do that ("Quick, cue the Idol music and cut to break!").
I thought Paula Abdul looked great and did a nice Simon tribute and the big Idol song tribute to Simon was nice, too.
Not sure if I'm going to watch next year, though.

This AI was a yawn fest not that I've ever been a real fan of it...but seriously i would never or have ever bought any Cd's put out by any of the artist that have come out of AI.

Last nights Finale was a Geezer fest. Alice Cooper,Hall and Oats, Chicago, Janet jackson who sounds more than ever like Her brother Michael and looks like Jermaine..lol. Christina Aguilera was alright she was just there to promote her new CD
I wasn't Surprised when Lee won Little Girls and old Chics will vote the **** out of any male who's half passable....lol!
