Are driving me insane and they keep getting bigger. I hate you ****ers!
I know! I was watching the Superman Director's cut last night, and those things just kept popping up! It's bad enough they split screen the credits at the end and advertise whatever else may be on, but why do we have to see that when we're watching another show? It's aggravating!
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."
I saw something I had never seen before a few weeks ago.
I was watching Bewitched...I think on TVLand...and there was a sort of mini-marathon going on. Well, when the first show was ending they had already started showing the next episode while the credits for the previous episode were shown along the other part of the screen.
That was really annoying.

Wow, amazing how many of us were watching Superman today! Haha...
I hate the ads too. Mostly because I find that they often pop up when something is being SHOWN on screen. So it's like, I can't read what this TV caption says because of some damn ad.
I guess they're doing it because of DVR and stuff but the problem is they were doing it even before DVR was common place.
I remember they used to squeeze Howard Stern's show on E! with a little ticker tape running across and it became such a point of contention with him that it was part of the reason he left the network.
Yeah; but it's all about maximalizing ad time. If you saw "Idiocracy" you've seen the inevitable: screens completely innundated with ads, and the actual show a small part of the screen. That's one of the downsides to HD tv: you've got enough resolution to crowd the screen.
Another thing that annoyed me about watching Superman on AMC yesterday ... Did anyone notice how many commercial spots there were ?
It seemed like there was a round of commercials after only about 4 minutes of show.
During a commercial round I get up to make myself a snack, get it all set up up, sit down and get comfortable - and by the time I actually take a bite a new round of commercials has started.
