    Best Yard Sale Find?

What is the best Yard Sale finds that youve had? Mine happens to be finding some Rare Records for a dirt cheap price. Also I scored lots of rare comics for 10 cents a piece and there easily worth quite a bit.

4 Walton megos complete and in good shape for 4 bucks. So not really much to brag about, but I was still happy.

I've had many, many great finds at yard sales.

3 years ago I hit a sale and found these for 25 cents a piece:

At the same sale I grabbed a 50's Steiff Teddy Bear and a Van Briggle vase amongst many other things--everything was 25 cents to 50 cents.

I hit a sale not long after and found this stuff for a combined total of around $5:

Those inflatable monsters are a big deal in monster collecting circles. Sold the pair for $1400.

Last summer one huge garage sale netted me this stuff--everything at super cheap prices:

I found this record a couple of weeks ago for $1 and sold it for $1000:

For the most part I generally find something worthwhile every weekend I go out.....usually takes a combination of skill, timing, persistence and luck!

I never find anything at Garage Sales...now thrift stores back in the day was a different story. I found a Miles Davis "Kind Of Blue" LP at a Salvation Army store that was still sealed inside the LP sleeve for $1. Sold it on Ebay for $100. But my 2 best finds I ever had was a Eerie Spectre series Pez dispenser in a bag of about 10 dispensers. Basically cost me 20 cents each. Sold the Sylvester from the same bag for $15...but the Eerie Spectre Pez I sold for $150. The other great find I had at thrift store was a Beatles 45. One of the rarest 45's they put out. A Vee Jay 522 "From Me To You" / "Thank You Girl" which is probably second to a Beatles Vee Jay 498 45 in rarity...Paid 25 cents for it. Haven't sold it because it's in my collection still...although I have thought about it from time to time.

Their eyes can't hope to see
                The beauty that surrounds them
                Isn't it a pity".

I have to live through the finds that Matt and Greg come up with
The best I think I've done is a couple of years ago I picked up a Terri Lee doll in the dressing suitcase with about 4 outfits. Paid around $20 for it and ended up getting $525 for it.

I have more than I can shake a stick at as well. The best actual "garage sale" purchase that I flipped was 1000+ Estes model rockets and parts for $200, sold for $3000+.

If you count estate sales, mine is the huge lot of Megos/SMDM (they brought me to this site) I paid $160, sold for $6500+.

Large lot of 3 3/4" GI Joes w/ vehicles. I paid $600, sold for $3000+.
