Y'know.... I can't say I LIKE the film; but it's one of them things that's so bad you HAVE to see it to believe it. And it's bad enough that I find it funny. Not Terry Pratchett funny.... more like MST3K funny. It's bad, but it's bad in ways you can't even imagine. So I appreciate the novelty.

It's not very good but boy howdy, is it watchable. I remember reading the reviews and thinking "I have to see this marvelous train wreck!" but sadly it left the theatre real quick.

I've seen it at least 20 times, with commentary, rifftrax, etc. Travolta is mesmerizing in his role as the only psychlo without crap on his face.

Shapiro penned Robin Hood Men In Tights, yet apologizes for Battlefield Earth. Battlefield Earth is just one of those movies that's trendy to bash. I've heard people knock it and I asked what they didn't like about it. They then admitted they never saw it. This happened numerous times. It's not a bad film. I'd rather watch Battlefield Earth over The Phantom Menace any day. Or 2012. Watch the Time Traveler's Wife. That screenwriter should apologize. Worst movie ever.

Sometimes you don't have to "see" it to have seen enough to dislike it. It was on cable often enough for people to see some of it and turn it off (as I did after 30 minutes) where as someone who paid 10 bucks to see it will suffer through hoping it improves
