Pretty sure you mean Rita Hayworth there Hec, as the short story by Stephen Kings full title was "Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption".

Butch and sundance-when they bust through the door at the end of the movie.
Mad max-when he looses his wife and son.
      Enemy mine-when Louis gossett dies.
Conan-in the beginning when he's holding his mothers hand and she falls away.
Tombstone-the death of Morgan on the pool table.
Fellowship of the ring- the death of boromir

I agree with a lot of ones listed. I'll add Star Trek III and the death of the Enterprise.

STAR WARS Episode I: Qui Gon Jin is struck down by Darth Maul, and Obi-Wan Kenobi comes in for the attack. That furious 30 or so seconds of sword fighting between the two.

STAR WARS Episode II: Yoda ignites his lightsaber to take on Count Dooku.

STAR WARS Episode III: Yoda and Darth Maul battle for the fate of the entire galaxy as the platform they stand on slowly rises into the ENORMOUS senate chamber.

STAR WARS Episode IV: The attacking Rebel fighters dive toward the Death Star surface at the start of the assault.

STAR WARS Episode V: As the attacking Imperial forces overrun the Rebel defensive trenches on Hoth, three huge AT-AT walkers turn their heads simultaneously as they fire on retreating Rebel troops.

STAR WARS Episode VI: The Rebel fleet flies right into an Imperial trap as they come out of hyperspace to attack Death Star II.

Raiders of the Lost Ark: As Hovito warriors chase him, Indy jumps on a vine, swings into a lake and makes a spectacular getaway in a plane.

            One of my favorites movies...

Alien - When the chest burster pops out...
Se7en - The time spent agonizing over his desire to shoot Kevin Spacey
Wanted - the entrance into the textile factory after dumping the rats
            "Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn"

In the Southeast Pacific, lies the sunken city of R'Leyh. There lies C'thulhu waits to return to our world with the other Great Old Ones. A hideous creature of enormous size and alien power, it waits for it's time to return patiently. For it has all the time in the world while it waits for the stars.

Ok, make fun if you want - My favorite is when Lightning McQueen stops just short of winning the race so that he could go back and "bump draft" the King across the finish line. from Disney's Cars

A lot of good moments mentioned. For STIII, for me, it is when Savaak says "David is Dead" and Kirk tried to sit down in the chair and misses and then tries to hold back tears. Without that build up there is no sacrificing the Enterprise.

Lawrence of Arabia has a lot of good moments, too http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bSlq1CNQwEc

Another one I remember being on the edge of my seat for the first time I saw it was the crop duster scene from N by Nwest http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3MvmYMzUXNk
                  It's all good!

Wrong...at least in the movie...have not read the booklet. But this thread is about movies...right?.

Tim Robbins/Andy Dupree starts off with a Rita Hayworth poster (then later, a Marilyn Monroe poster)...but by the end...when he finally escapes 20 years later...it's a Raquel Welch poster...

I've seen the movie about 100 times...I know it by heart.
